Football coach

Alright boys and girls. Anyone here coach kids football or have any other involvement (secretarial for instance)?

Im thinking about getting into it myself, there are no FA courses running near me at the moment but you dont have to be qualified to get involved. My boys are just shy of the age bracket that actually play games so I want to get them started.

how old are they bout 6 or 7 then ? if u just wanna get involved a bit try and find them a local team then just tell the manager ud be happy to help out at training or whatever and see what he says

I think thats the way to go to be honest, we dont have any under 9 teams in our immediate area so I'd love to start one. My brother coaches rugby and he isnt what you would call a natural sportsman he just went along and helped out, he has a couple of coaching badges under his belt now.

if u wanna start a team just put an ad in local shops like post offices , chippys and that and hopefully thell be other people who have children of that age who want their kids to join a team and u dont need to be qualified to coach them i would say just a good understanding of the game as stuff like nutrition isnt important at tht age neither is fitness tht much as kids of tht age normally have like a fucking endless amount of energy so if u can just get their technique work good then it should work out well

I reckon Soccer would be pretty cool to coach...I could have done a better job than Bruce Arena that's for damn sure!

i got an f.a coaching award and a referee award a yr back.

good fun, bloody easy

but i was helping a under 9 team out and coaching them just by going along and asking if he needed a regular hand.

Menphis I think iys a brilliant idea good luck, its hard work but a lot of fun. It takes a lot of time done right, but the rewards are great. Saddo cant us lot sponser them, be a bit of fun

I step in the right direction would probably be to get your self a community sports leadership award (it says award... but its a qualification)

Not an awful lot to do with football... but its quick and pretty easy to get and would give you a base in running events groups of children etc.

Just to say it would cost you a fair bit to start a team.

My mates bro tried to start a U19s team for us, each player had to give about 50 odd quid and im not sure about how much else but this was just to get into a league excluding kits.

I said to my eldest boy about finding a team so he went of and made a football book. He said look Dad Ive made a book with all the different teams in it, Ive got England Brazil France Germany China Australia and Manchester
