I don't think Liddell hits as hard as Hunt and Wandy took his shots and got back up. I think Wandy is just too much for him. Wandy by ko.

No disrespect to Chuck, I like him, good fighter, great flurries, but right now he's a big fish in a small pond.

I am curious about Lidell: how does he stack up against the other heavies in the mixed martial arts world? I actually am only familiar with his exploits in the UFC.....I have read that although he is dominant in the octogan, he is not so in the ring. Whyso What is the essential difference.?

the pool of talent is greater in organizations that use the ring... ie, Pride.

Bottom line, the fighters in Pride are just better. It seems ot draw from all over the world, while these days the UFC is drawing mainly from the US (and now Canada).

Statistically speaking, 3 fights isn't a large enough sample to base conclusions on.

Elbows may be a plus for Silva, but he also loses those face stomps he loves so much.

Anyone else find it odd that Wandy is 1-2 in the UFC, while Chuck is 2-1 in Pride, despite the essentially inarguable fact that Pride has a much better talent pool?

I remember someone tallied up records of some of the bigger name crossovers from UFC and Pride, and UFC fighters in Pride on average fared much better than Pride fighters in the UFC. Either way, it certainly doesnt bode well for Wandy, if you believe in that kind of stuff.

As much as I love the "ICEMAN", Silva is a different breed of animal.
