Default Vargas For the First Time Ever Dissapointed Me...

I hold my hands up, I am a big fan of the guy. I know he is not the best, as he has proved with losses to the very best in Moseley, Trinidad, and of course Oscar De La Hoya. Thats not a bad thing.

But one thing Vargas has always done is put everything on the line, gave it all and show his true warrior heart.

I am NOT talking about the knockdown.

I am talking about everything prior, he just didnt turn up. He didnt throw anything, he just stalked and stalked and stalked and was very flat and dull, even boring.

Moseley did'nt impress me until he go the first few rounds under his belt and seemed to feel out Fernando.

I just couldnt believe how poor Vargas was. He just didnt seem to want it, which is very unusual.

I honestly thought Vargas with the weight may beat Moseley but how wrong was I.

It was one of the poorer fights for me this year.

And I havent a clue where Vargas goes now.

I think that post about Mayorga v Vargas should come true!

But after that performance I really think Mayorga could do a job, and thats saying something.

Full Credit to Shane, his speed was still there for me, really enjoyed watching his flurries, but he wasnt the Shane of old...

Still poor fight for me, really dissapointed as I was really looking forward to it.

Enjoyed the undercard though, That De Ponce's KO was HORRIFIC!

Mayorga v Vargas would be a nice fight. Nice post by the way ! Hey speaking of the under card I like that Rock Allen kid, with a little time he is going to be dynamite IMO

Yeh, I agree he seems like the next Zab Judah, (without the personality).

Very quick and nice combos, but still needs a lot of tidying up, but hes only young so thats what he will learn.

He looks well mean to, like a IceMan, no emotion!

He had a twin brother that boxed as well but I only here about Rock since both of them turned pro, so I have no idea what happened to his brother Tiger. As far as Vargas, he is shot and we have been talking about that ever since the conclusion of the De La Hoya fight, I still think his career would have been alot better if he woulden't have fought Trinidad, that ruined him.

i like most of you guys am a fan of his, but i feel it was his lack of speed that led to his lack of punchs, every time he threw one mosley just moved and countered him, vargas was trying to load up money punches but due to back injurys which have stolen his youth and movement ment he can't keep up with the quick fighters. it's horrible when you lose your phsical skills, you think back a few years ago to when you were 100% and moved freely, that must be playing on his mind, and i didn't like the way he spoke after, sounded like he's on the verge of retiring

fernado "ferouis" vargas thanks for the great ring wars

Mosley didn't allow Vargas to do anything because he had something new Vargas never looked for..the left hook. You can see Vargas watching Mosley's right hand all night and leaving himself wide open for the left each time, even when he tried to jab he was watching Mosley's right which is how Mosley was able to step back and land a left hook that Vargas never saw, he was so focused on the right hand that he forgot the left hook of Shane is his best punch. Much the way Robinson knocked out Fullmer Same kind of left hook, picture perfect
