Reid calls out Froch

Robin Reid has called out Froch after he KO'd the ulsterman Brian magee.

Reid is apparently making a comeback.

I think after the Lacy debacle he should hang up the gloves as he is no longer the elite fighter that he was anymore, feigning a low blow then using the head.

Retire gracefully Robin !

I just cant see him having any fitness or ability this far into his career for a last hurrah.

If Rob was to spend as much time concentrating on the job in hand as he does moaning and trying to get help from the ref, i think there could well be a couple more fights in him. I'd love to see a fit well trained Robin Reid batter the stuffing out of Froch.

Agree with you's all, Reid has a good chin, but is a cheating bastard. Went to his fight with magee and if he wasn't holding all night he was using the head and complaining to the ref. Froch would beat him on wide points.

He hasnt been a regular in the gym for 2 years as I know, should call it a day . Has been a great servant to the game, and is a great guy, wonderful with young Boxers always willing to help them. But enoughs enough Rob.

I think Reid should come back and go out on a high, the Lacy fight must have hurt his pride terribly
especially after JC show'd Lacy up. two things can happen after that, he retires because his hearts not there anymore or he can try prove to the world that he still wants it bad. Froch's not a great fighter and if Reid could find some of his form of old he could win this

[/quote but realiticly that is not going to happen.Reid will not improve much more now and after he got the stuffing beaten out of him by Lacy he wont be the same man. Froch is performing and i can see him stopping reid . froch is showing that he is good and even though he has a big mouth he is coming up with the goods. i would like to see this fight happen to settle a few talking points and after froch stops reid i think he will go on to fight for the european title.

Got to agree with the Froch-ites on this one. REid doesn't have the engine anymore, and unless Froch gets loose and lets himself get caught too often, then it would be his fight on points by what we have plenty of here in mid Wales....country miles.

Froch carries a lot of power and i think Reid would be too sluggish now to put on a 12 round performance.

Like magee said, he cant run anymore so would probably just grapple and hold - and eventually Froch would land that uppercut of his and Robin might just be history.

Robin may be better doing a bit of pundit work here and there? i think he has a good idea of the game and perhaps may add some different angles, as the current crop of commentators are p*ss poor.

i thi nk froch is quite good, crap defence though.
If i was robin i wouldn't make a comeback unless it was for money cos he can never be the best (world champ) any more. theres no point. Jeff lacy destroyed him.

i noticed a weakness in lacy in the reid fight, he was getting caught with silly shots, quick straights in the early rounds! Even though the shots did little to stop lacy, they were getting through, calzaghe basically did the same but joe come in with 4's and 6!

I still believe lacy could beat any super middle right now apart from joe! one day if he gets rematch, it'll be a different story!
