Default who would win a winky-taylor rematch?

i think winky would outbox him this time even better then he outboxed him the first time. in my opinion winky won thier first bout because most of taylor's punches were landing on the gloves and most of winky's punches were landed clean.

Depends if the judges base their opinions on punches landing on gloves and elbows rather than punches actually scoring.

Also I don't care how hard the shots are, unless they knock the guy across the ring a clean his is a clean hit.

Fair enough give a guy around if he lands 4 mega shots that nearly get the guy down and the other guy lands 8 weak shots, but Taylor was doing no such thing.

i dunno in my opinion winky is the best fighter from 175 down i think he would beat calzaghe, roy jones, tarver, him and hopkins would be 50/50 and still i'd give the edge to wright over hopkins because if hopkins would fight how he fought against taylor winky would out box him for sure because hopkins was only trying to counter in both taylor fights his punch rate was horrible

Winky Wright is this generations version of Pernell Whitaker. He makes everybody look bad because of his great defense and jab. His victories over Mosley and Trinidad were nothing brutal but they were technical expertise and boxing lessons. He did not respect Shane Mosley's punch that much but he damn well respected Tito's power because he covered up most of the fight and let his jab score most of his points, in a rematch I would take Winky because even though he lacks the punching power of Jermain or Tito he makes up for it in defense. I scored the first bout 6-6

I had Winky winning the first but was totally disappointed by his attitude, the fight was reasonably close all the way so to take the final round off was poor on his part,in a championship fight, you should give it your all, regardless of what you"think" the score is. I would favour him in the second fight simply because his defence was too good. I think it would be close again though and I coud see the judges going either way again.

as close as the last fight was I agree.....This is so close but I think Winky could take it, as long as it's not in Taylor's backyard..
It feels good to be back home.

the punches that were landing on winkys gloves were the ones that were considered misses, the punches that landed on winkys face were the ones that were counted as connections
(meaning that even when jermain was "missing" and not scoring he was doing considerable damage)

i thought taylor had the fight by 2 rounds, but a draw was a good decision because winky didnt do enough to take jermain's belts away, so there was no real robbery
not to mention, when that 1st fight took place jermain was only with emmanuel steward for like 6 weeks or something (his whole career prior to that, he was with his amature trainer)
now hes had this whole time to work with one of the best trainers in boxing today, and im sure that emmanuel has ironed out many of the flaws in jermains amatureish style
jermain is a rugged, bad-ass, country boy that has the intangibles to become an all time great, imho

so im gonna go against the grain and say........................

jermain by tko in round 10

The first fight was too close to call for me. Winky had Jermain in the first few rounds it was only until the later rounds where Jermain went mobile when Winky was a deer stuck in the headlights. Winky's offense the first fight was pretty much pressuring Jermain into a corner and landing big flashy shots. While Jermain was trying to move around and Winky did a good job for a little bit. I think in the rematch, that Winky would adjust his style and use his legs a little more to walk away with a close victory. It won't be a landslide but it'd be close (because Jermain does his research as well)
