He said he's gonna get Jason Litzau one day. Jason Litzau trained by Pernell Whitaker. How would that be?

Interesting comments about Zab, I feel the same way, if Zab could finish like he starts, if he could fight every round the same, the same consistency, he'd be fine. A lot of talent, but he doesn't finish like he starts. Usually, usually cause he finished well in both Spinks fights for whatever reason but otherwise there's pockets of really good fighting and then he seems to fade.

Did Pernell always talk like that? Funny, Toney's been slurring lately, you wouldn't expect the really good defensive fighters to have that effect.

Litzau needs help defensively, if anybody can help a guy out defensively its Pernell, but even so I don't see him becoming some defensive master, but it wouldn't hurt him

    Thanks for sharing that !

Sweet Pea is one of the best ! He is one of my favorites of all time ! That man was a real boxer, he never ran, he circled his opponent , got angles and was always in punching range. Thats what i love most about Peat. unlike some of these turn around and run boxers. Peat took chances in fights. and set everything up. Peat Dictated what he wanted. I Love the guy !

I agree with him about Jason Litzu. Litzu is one of My favorite new fighters ! Great determination factor work ethic and the kid knows how to close shop !

I was gonna say the same thing.... I've seen a few Pernell interviews but in this one I noticed it more

It's either the boxing or he was sipping on some 'Courvoisier'

Heavy drug use is probably a factor as well.

That would have been a good point if Ndou wasn't moving up from super featherweight and was anywhere near the competition that Pernell had to fight and do that against imo.

No, he wasn't on drugs then. He had used drugs in the past but he's clean now. What the guy meant by drug use was that all those years ago when Pernell did drugs it caught up to him. But I am glad he turned his life around.
