Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds Mora vs Regan
Alright everybody...better late than never I always say.
Being that there's really no main event this weekend...we gotta make this thing happen someway & sometime...so...what better way than to kick off the weekend than with ESPN's Friday Night Fights?!?!?
Don't answer that.
Once again ESPN is showcasing it's Contender contender Sergio Mora (18 wins 0 defeats & 4 ko's) as he steps it up against Eric Regan (28 fights with 26 wins, 2 losses, & 17 ko's) at the Arco Arena in Sacramento, California. There's no title on the line & Reagan is on a two streak TKO run...here's a tip of the glass from ole' Wacko hoping that he takes it to three.
Although many have warmed to the Latin Snake (cough cough porn star name cough), I for one have not. Honestly I think that the guy is a bit too cocky for what he brings to the table...but that's just my opinion.
Maybe he can make some fans tonight by beating the hard hitting Regan...or maybe he get's TKO'd by the hard hitting Regan...either way...I suppose that the outcome is fine with me. I'm leaning towards Mora getting dropped again though. Mora showed that he has some heart & the guts to get up off of the mat after getting dropped by the hard hitting TerMeliksetian a few months back...I still think that he's an accident waiting to happen, especially once he steps up to the big leagues.
We shall see.
Carlos Maussa (23 fights with 20 wins, 3 losses, & 18 ko's) steps back into title contention as he faces Manuel Garnica (24 fights with 19 wins, 5 losses, & 11 ko's) at the Miccosukee Resort in Miami, Florida as ESPN's main event. The two are battling it out over the WBC's Latino Light Welterweight title & the WBA's Fedcaribe Light Welterweight title...whatever those are.
I'm actually curious to see what Maussa has left after getting utterly destroyed by Cotto & Hatton. The awkward orthodox brawler has a history of scoring some brutal knockouts over luke warm opponents, but often falls short against the higher caliber fighters. He shocked us all when he knocked Vivian Harris out in the 7th round of their 2005 fight & then pretty much shocked us all by lasting 9 rounds against Hatton before being knocked out & thus helping furthering Hatton's quest at the unification of 140lbs.
That being said...this fight should prove, if nothing else, very interesting...besides that...it's good filler for an empty weekend.
So my fellow forum goers...break out your poison of choice, the weekend is here, it's time to kick back relax, & as always...let the drinking begin as we get set to do this thing all over...yet again...it's time for yet another ever faithful installment of Wacko's Drunken Round by Round.
Cheers & koneecheewah bitches.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
