Default James Toney was freakin' robbed. Absolutely ridiculous.

Did you see the fight? Did you see those scores? Unbelievable. Honestly. I was as unbiased as possible for several reasons and I have absolutely no beef towards Peter, but..... OMG. That was the biggest bunch of bullsh@t I've seen in years. James Toney got robbed and that's the bottom line. My whole living room was in shock. My son who just started getting into boxing looked like someone just stole something from him. I can't believe what I just saw.

And one more thing. I'm not saying that fight wasn't close. It was a HELL of a fight. But come on! Those margins? WITH a point deducted. Ugh. I'm upset and drunk. Forgive me.

I didn't catch it, Means. We were all saying, "where the hell are the numbers?" All night long. Nothing. Go figure. Usually they're flashing those things every other round or so. This whole thing stinks.

Great example! Just out of curiousity...how many of you considered the Hatton fight against Collazo a robbery?

Many did not. That was a close fight...& I suppose a case of robbery...just like the Toney Peter fight.

The fight was close...not a robbery. Toney vs Peter I mean.

Hatton: Collazo was indeed a close fight. IMO a rematch would have been fair....

It seems in the case of Peter: Toney the scores werent even as close as they should have been...

I dont know, if it wasn't a point deduction then Peter would have won the majority decision 9 rounds to 3 and that doesn't seem like the right opinion,

THe thing is...it seems that everyone has more of an issue with numbers than the results.

Watch the fight again...Peter did something that no one has done in longer times than I can count...he hurt Toney multiple times over the course of 12 rounds.

Fuck what the judges said...Peter performed better than anyone thought that he would (including myself!) and he had Toney hurt.

I agree completely. Peter was better than I expected too and he didnt fade down the stretch, which I was expecting him to do.

Toney performed better then people thought he would too he deserves just as much if not more credit then you're giving Peter

Toney performed better then people thought he would too he deserves just as much if not more credit then you're giving Peter
Toney performed better than he did against Rahman and I think Toney deserved the decision here against Peter. So in that sense, yes, Toney does deserve the credit.....

But I thought Toney would be able to win more rounds than he did against Peter. At least Rahman has a decent jab when he gets going. Peter is less technically proficient and usually relies solely on his power to force his way through. Here Peter was better and was patient. He was using a jab more and was more self controlled and asured.

If Peter was to win I thought it would be via KO, I didnt think he would be able to take as many rounds from Toney as he did.

Toney won, but It was close...Peter made it close...
