yeh the destroyer gets destroyed i think its the one where he turns him right round with a shot then knocks him down with a hook and jogs off with his knees' in the air!! :P lol then plays around with him for the rest of the bowt, he must have been able to ko him at any time but ended up getting stopped in the latter rounds lol check out the famous glen kelley ko its reall pretty :P

But you have to admit Hall isn't exactly a class opponent for RJJ... that being said RJJ looked spectacular.

lol i believe the commentators were ripping hall actually aswell cos they were saying and this guy is number one contender? maybe i should get into it ... i could be world champ!! lol
i agree he wasnt great but i believe alot of the so so fights that roy took was because of his stubborness to be his own manager and promoter... i mean they were all competative fighters, and youre typical mandatory defences, so i mean if they were top contender then take em on! but he never really sorted out as many big fights as he could have done had he had a good promoter he just took the madatory's !!

    Agreed. That fight is B-E-A-Utiful!

The thing about Jones...he made the majority of everyone he faced look ordinary.

Even the fighters that were technically brilliant such as Toney & Hopkins had severe issues with Jones back in his day.

Sad that everyone's down on Jones now, but his time has come & gone & I still say that his safety is an issue.

The craziest RJJ KO is when he does it to Art Serwano..... Fwocken scary to watch a guy get hit in the temple twist his leg hit the canvas and have a mini-seizure eyes rolling back & all.

He won't be fully appreciated until he is an old man and his highlights reels will rest at the top of the pile

I loved the way he schooled Toney! But the Kelly KO is my favourite. Jones had some awesome highlights!!!

I am new to Saddoboxing. Are most of the users British on here And why can't boxers stay out of the ring late in life to keep some pride and help with their legacy??

heres a cc bro welcome to the forum. I think there a mix of all sorts on the forum. As to boxers staying to long I thinks its ego & the limelight. Jones could lose his next 5 fights though & still not affect his legacy!

Roy Jones jr. is the greatest fighter ever IMO. And the Richard Hall fight was an excellent performance. I'd love to see Larry and Jim step in there with Hall though the little bitches. They don't call him "Destroyer" for nothing. Anyone who has seen his fights with Julian Letterlough, and even recently with Glen Johnson, know he has a lot of heart and serious power. He was a valid opponent for Roy, and very similiar to Nigel Benn IMO. Yet Roy destroyed the "Destroyer" Hall in spectacular fashion, the jogging thing with his knees up was bad ass!
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
