Default Anyone know how to change file types?

I installed my dvd rewriter(thanks for the help DG),but there are some files which will not play on dvd players so I was wondering if anyone know how I could change those file types? There must be some sort of programme right?>

You are going to have to explain this a little more in depth so I can give you the right answer.

What files are you trying to play.

Run all this by me step by step.

and or if you have MSN with Microphone holla.

Ok bro,for example,I want to change an OGG file, which a normal dvd player would not be able to play, into an AVI file, which it would be able to play. I want to convert most of the files(OGG,NSV, etc etc) into AVI format so I can watch them on normal DVD players.

I was just wondering if there was a programme which allowed me to do this,I'm sure there is,seeing as you can do it with youtube vids etc and I've seen same files in different formats.(Sorry,I don't use MSN much at all!)

Too bad you do not use MSN as I can be here all day trying to explain this typing.

I don't even know where to begin.

First of all converting a sound file .OGG into a .AVI video file is pointless.
Converting NSV files to MPEG or AVI is a pain in the azz.

The trick here is to find the player which is right for you. (There is no perfect player for me)
I personally use several players for different files and I never use the same player. Sometimes I get bored and change.

    Players I use,

but not in any order are

    VLC (Video Lan Player)
    Irfan View
    Windows Media Player Classic
    Crystal Player Pro
    WinAmp
The above, I use normally for videos.

For sound files I use a whole group of other programs depending on what I am doing.

I really dont know what else to tell you.

Holla back if you still need me

Gamo, I have gone up and down and all around looking for the perfect program and I have yet to find it but, for what you are asking for, you might wanna try this:

    Download:
    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2SGL1W84

It basicly has what you are asking for.

Once you download the file, and install the prog, read the tuts (Click on the QUESTION mark button on the program.)

Here is also a quick look:
