Default Frozensolid(and anyone else),who did you think won.....

PBF-JLC 1. I gave you a copy,I want a totally un nuthugger like opinion. I had JLC by 2/3,main point being he won. I have debated this with other peeps here before, but wothout evidence but now....

Harold Lederman of HBO had it-115-111 for Castillo.

All the announcers, including Foreman had Castillo ahead.

    The Punch Stats:

    Castillo Mayweather

    203 landed 157

    506 Thrown 448

    40% Percentage 35%

    Power Punching Stats:

    Castillo Mayweather

    173 Landed 66

    377 Thrown 151

    46% Percentage 44%

CASTILLO THREW MORE,LANDED MORE,POWER PUNCHES AND NORMAL PUNCHES,so how how did PBF win?? Someone tell me? I have the link for these stats too in case you think I made it up.

And I'm sure you guys who think Floyd won have used compu box stats to argue your points before sooooo.....I win......

Alot of great fighters have won questionable fights one time or another....I see your point though..

The interesting thing is I think even if Floyd lost that fight He probably would still be #1 PFP fighter in the world today..The right thing was done by having a rematch and like Ice said Floyd won convinceingly as to make it a moot point

The positive thing about there 1st fight is that the desicion didnt alter JLC's career in a negative way I still think when he decides to hang them up he will have had an hall of fame career and depending on how much time he has left he is already considered an all time great a Lightweight definetly but could be...at Junior-Welter and if he go's up to Welterweight(in my opinion thats were he belongs) so he is another great addition to an already stacked and exciting 2 weight classes 140-147lbs

I cant wait to see Hatton vs Castillo next year...The roof will come off the place

JT bro,you make very very valid points and he DID win the rematch easily,I am in doubt about that but fair is fair, first he should have a 1 in the L column and second, those statistics back up my points that he lost, whereas before I had no proof. And has JLC been given the decision like he deserved,we may have had a trilogy.!

I don't think Castillo belongs at 140,he is far far too big and I think he should move to 147 and fight Margarito.

thanks again for the fight, i tried to score it like i was castillos mom to be fair.

i had jlc by 2 rounds, but i was giving EVERY close round to castillo(and there were a few)

as for your punch stat numbers............................

they mean nothing, they are a measure of a fighters activity and thats it

    for example:

jlc could have 4 great rounds where he out lands pbf by 80 punches total.

what about the other 8 rounds?

i watched it again, and had the fight being pbf by 1............ then next time i scored it a draw......

so, damn close fight but far from a robbery

it was pbf at his absolute worst, and jlc at his best that night (think mab vs. juarez 1 & 2)

I had no idea the punch stats were that one-sided in the 1st fight. Every boxer has a night in which they were not on their a-game, but if these two fighters fought ten time's Floyd would at minumum win 7 of them.

I had Castillo winning the first fight. Floyd injured his hand and thats all she wrote. That is why floyd was using his elbow and trying to keep Castillo at bay. The fight should of never went to Floyd.

But in the second fight, Floyd won. Poor Castillo was so frustrated he said he could not figure Floyd out because of his style.

Hey but that is boxing for you. I would rather leave the scoring to the judges than to the fans.
