    Default any tips?

ok me and my friend are gonna box each other we did one night when we had a few beers. we boxed 3 one min rounds( i wanted to to do 2 min but we both smoked cigs and couldnt do 3) ppl say he won because he was throwing more punches but 90% of them were blocked. my plan was to get him when he was tired and he was because he was laying on the ground after we got done. but we didnt box enough for that plan to work out.
now we are going to box once more in a month with 2 min rounds.
heres the thing i want to know if anyone has any tips i can use, hes 6'4 and im 6 ft, hes got hella reach but im stronger. Should i unleash on his body, be more aggresive and bring the fight to him or wait?

Your asking a bunch of respectable boxers what you should do in the next drunken brawl with your buddy.
    Heh, okey dokey.

Given the information about reach and stuff, duck, move, and like you said work on his body. You might want to work on your abs and core so you can move out of the way of punches quicker.
Try to get in close and hit him with short powerful shots.
He'll be playing his reach game with jabs if he has any sense. Dont let him.
Youll feel more comfortable up close so fight there.

Ha we will be sober this time. yeah last time he did use his reach and being my first time i boxed i went for wild hooks too many times and i would lower my head, i learned not to do those things. right now im working on my abs, but im trying to lose some fat on my lower abs too.

I dislike Back Yard 'boxing'... I especially dislike drunk people fighting/fun fighting... My mouse is hovering dangerously close to the 'Lock' Button but I am in a good mood today.

For the record I can't stand this crap... but as I said... I am in a good mood... so this one can stay... for now.

no more though... from anyone. I guess I will have to make a sticky about it.

the first time we were drunk and now we are going to be sober. and its not gonna be a drunkin brawl and if i had a ring we would fight in it, and besides we both have talked aboout going to a mma gym together and we are just sparring.

It's worse because when I am drunk I can still bang... but I can't defend or move out of range of shots (I'm guessing... I've never been set about by some one who can box when pissed (or at all ) for me to be able to tell... ) I'd imagine most people are the same.

So basically you're gonna get hurt...

Plus if you have access to a ring etc then you should know better... :P
