I bought a DVD tonight that I never knew existed... Maybe some of you have... But I... as much as I know boxing was in the dark... I will type what is inscribed on the back of the DVD

WHO WAS THE GREATEST FIGHTER OF ALL TIME

In the late 1960's a miami boxing promoter, who had a successful radio series of fantasy boxing bouts between champs of years past fed statistics into a computer witch predicted a "winner"! Based apon the popularity Rocky Marciano and Muhammad Ali filmed a 15 round bout.

On January 20th the "fight of the Century" Ali-vs-Marciano was shown ONE TIME in 1500 theaters across the United states and Europe and was shown once in 1970 on "wild world of sports" Since, all prints of the fight have been destroyed, accept for one that was given to the LIBRARY OF CONGRESS. THE FIGHT HAS NOT BEEN SEEN SINCE.

Marciano, the only heavyweight Chanmp to ever retire undeafeated, was 45 in 1969. Ali was 27. He was also undefeated. They agreed to settle, once and for all, who was the greatest.

If i remember correctly it was like Marciano KOs Ali in the 13th round or something.

I thought I heard this before but I have never seen the footage or read anything else on the matter. Arent they doing this today with computer games? Was not this the reason Rocky Balbao came out of retirement because a study/computer game resulted in favor of Rocky to beat Mason 'The Line' Dixon.?

I also read somewhere, that Marciano did not retire undefeated. I swore I thought he did but some one told me he had not and others were saying the same thing. I guess I should be more like majesty and say: 'Prove it" LOL

i dont know mate ali is so much quicker but rocky hits like a rock its speed vs power but ali wouldnt be able to do that rope a dope junk vs him

the real fight would go to the score cards for sure if ali didnt getkoed theres no way in hell ali would ko marciano ,hes hart was twice as big as holyfeilds he wouldnt allow the thought of defeat to enter his mind...not much technique but a tone of determination!!ali by ud

cc for the clip ICE COLD!! I heard that while they were filming this Rock was wearing a hair piece and Ali keeped knocking it off, so Rock got tired of it and belted Ali real good to the body to send a message. I guess Ali stopped after that.

yeah it was Marciano in the 13th and it was pretty cool. They were supposed to pull their punches to the head but in the documentary they said that taps were turning into power shots and you see the heads snap back alot. Body punches were fair game and it was said that Marciano got into great shape for it... It was a great documentary and fight... They took stats from the 5 best fights so it was 2 prime fighters... each jab, hold, hook, cross, straight, uppercut, bob, weave were all calculated and fed in to the cpu and it spit out a blow by blow that was scripted for the fight... Rocky died before he could see the end result...
