what effect does body punching have are they just for sapping your opponents strength for the latter rounds or can 1 body punch knock a man out if so what are the most vulnerable parts of the body to connect with the body punch?. thanks.

a good body shot can break ribs, take wind and bruise organs. ODLH lost becuase of a liver shot.

It can Weaken your opponent, score points and knock them down.
Seeing as your asking I'm betting you haven't been hit with a good one right on the button yet...![]()
a good shot to the liver takes 30- 45 seconds to over come. the pain is excruciating!
you really cant explain a how painfull a good body shot can be until you get hit with one!!
if you hit the right spot its the best way to stop a person... and the pain and effects on your breathing etc lasts longer then any shot to your head...
last good one i got hit with... took me about two seconds and then i felt it.. had to take a knee and breathe real deep lol advice to you!! always keep your elbows tucked in :P

The first one I got hit with... I thought fuck... that was hard... aren't I supposed to feel pain or somethi- 'auuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuueeeh' body goes rigid, legs feel week and brain clouds *Clinch*![]()
ive always found it wierd that theres so many positions on your body in which if your hit there it winds you....
it hard to fight on when youre reaally winded and they know youre winded and wana throw more to the body... then im thinkin ahh crap i gotta run...

Body punches are an awesome tool.
Im short so they work well for me. If im fighting somebody tall and skinny (as usual) i realise they havent got much ab muscle to protect that body, so i hit them as hard as i can in the body. Works for me.
definately bro... if you can scout that someone is weak in the belly go after the body... its especially easy for someone who is out of shape... i myself have just recently got back into shape and im not quite all the way there but about 8 months ago was last time i really got hurt to the body so its definately a priority to work my abs.. even though they are still not great as i dont have enormous disipline to work at my abs all the time... but im comin along ....Originally Posted by Jamoie

They could be built like a brick shit house too... just got for the ribs or the Solar plexis... theres hardly any tissue protecting that no matter how stocky you are.Originally Posted by Jamoie

Im now getting my medical and like i said my fights coming soon.
I train 4 times a week and we spar hard pretty much 3 out of 4 sessions.
Do body punches work? (note....it's MMA, not boxing, but it gets the point across)

Towards the end of the fight, you'll see that Yeah...body punches can be just a little bit effective.
Boxing is like a handjob, and MMA is like a hot sweaty orgy with 5 chicks. I could never say no to a handjob, but which would you rather have?
Just watch Hatton!
