    Default Good conditioning program

I am getting bored of running so I need some ideas on something else to do for conditioning. I havent been into running the last couple of weeks so my conditioning has dropped off some, never was great but decent conditioning. Thanks for any suggestions.

I like to use the elliptical machines to mix it up with running. It's easier on the knees and I can really get a sweat going on it.

Also swimming is fantastic..helps build/strengthen core muscles and shoulders, helps with lung capacity, great for joints and flexibility. I would swim more but I smoke too much weed. That is not a good conditioning program, yet is still one I find very effective

I also like to get on the stationary bike, hold a 10 or 15 lb weight in each hand and do rolls and obliques with my upper body while peddling on the bike..another thing that gets me sweating a lot and you work abs and shoulders while doing cardio

    skip skip & skip

Some strange guy came to my gym on a one off visit around 3 months ago and told me the following

"If you skip at least 3 times a week for 15-20 minutes each day, you will be indestructable"

In around 2 months of doing this, it changed my whole world in training and ive been able to get though every training session like clockwork ever since.

It does drain you when you first start and i was sweating like made in the first 5-10 minutes and my carves were crippled the day after.

You get use to it in no time, I think its because when you first start it, your tensing you body and under pressure to make it over the rope and thats what tends to burn you out but you learn to relax over time which made it much easier IMO.
