Default Briggs wins by KO offical time 2:59 in the 12th, record?

That's unreal... One second left and Sergie can't stay on his feet. You can't beat that.
And just last year Briggs KO'd someone in 16 seconds. That's 11 rounds, 2 minutes and 43 seconds quicker!

Yea... it was in PR. The guy had fought all bums. I heard Briggs hit him one time and the guy was out.

Actually although they called 2.59 there were actually 30 seconds left when Lyakhovich fell out of the ring.

Briggs should have got him out of there in the 11th and right away in the 12th but he seemed unable to throw a punch.

I don't know if you've ever had a dream where your being attacked, and your trying to fight back or run away but you can't move, everything is happening real slow and you just feel like you are in slow motion.......well watching the fight last night was a like a real life version of that nightmare.

Briggs couldnt have been any slower if he'd have been underwater or on the moon.

Good luck to him, he's a charismatic man outside the ring and I'm pleased for him but I think we finally found a heavyweight champion who both Maskaev and Valuev would be odds on to unify against.

And people say Holyfield should not come back, if beats Fres Oquendo next week I'd have him favourite to win 3 belts no problem :P

Yeah, I noticed that 2:59 crap too. Pretty mundane fight up till that last round, not as bad as some people made out, like Jim Gray, but not good either. Fukin Briggs is ripped, but 268 has to slow him down I don't care. He weighed 228 for Lewis, 40 lbs less! I like Briggs, not one of my favorites, but he seems like a good guy, and he finally did something, capturing a world title, even if it is WBO. He's as legit as any of the other guys out there right now. Good luck to Briggs, and he's not too bad, I would give him a real shot of beating any of the other belt holders, he wouldn't be an underdog or a favorite. He does need to lose some damn weight though, I know its all muscle but damnit, 268 is huge.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
