great stuff buddy, thanks for sharing the link, i heard about this show but couldn't watch it, very interesting stuff
.....I figured they would have gotten "The Power Puncher" to demonstrate perfect form
oh well perhaps for another day
They should have used people of the same weight , look at that Taewkondo guy, he is huge
Thats cricket
interesting video, cc bro.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
cc Mick for finding it. But I have to say the technique by all was terrible.
Pain lasts a only a minute, but the memory will last forever....

That was absolute bullshit as a "scientific" study. For a start it was pretty clear that the power generated went up with each persons size. The kung Fu guy was clearly the smallest and the boxer was slightly bigger than the Taikwondo guy. Also martial arts generally favour straight punching at a specific area of the face as demonstrated by the kung-fu guy whereas boxing has a much wider variety of hooks a "swinging" punches as you can see with the boxer (the slight overhand right action). Therefore the boxer has momentum and thus will probably strike with more force at contact. The martial artists punches (pther than the taikwondo guy) were clearly much shorter and sharper. Also for all we know one could be a world champ another a county champion of some obscure country with little fighting tradition.
Sorry but this kind of program dressed up as fact to big up boxing pisses me off. I mean boxers are clearly going to generate more force as thats the only part of their body which they strike with and thus train on. We dont need amauterish programs like this. In my opinion all stlyes have their strenghts and weakness'
Sorry just the sheer unscietific approach to the whole thing really pissed me off
Knowledge is Power
for the vid though it was interesting as cheap entertainment.
Knowledge is Power
interesting how they show how the brain moves in the skull when a person gets struck on the head... the back part of your brain is responsible for your sight so when it bounces off the back of your skull as demonstrated in the video, you see stars!
was it just me or did steve not throw his hips into his straight right...?![]()
I saw something on this a couple of years ago and the program i watched said it had something to do with snapping the head back at the right angle and momentarily disrupting signals going thru the spinal cord.
....notice it was only the cross they studied not the hook or uppercut....I bet those would generate more PSI.
They should have gotten a big time Pro boxer to do this
