    Default Should I stop?

Ive been doing weights for a while now but im also boxing.... im not slow or anything but I figure in a year or 2 when I get bigger I might get slower? but more power?

NOTE: This is all concerning shoulder and bicep workouts

Do you think Floyd Mayweather does curls etc for bicep?

See the other threads like "hammer and focus curls" but no, curling is not good for you.
And it depends how your doing your weights. Keep curling, and kickbacking and extending and yes you will be slow. But if you stop all these isolation movements you could become powerful yet not slow down.
And No, i can pretty muc guarantee that if PBFs trainer is worth his salt (which he is) then he wont be letting him anywhere near the curling rack,

the only thing i can tell you is that isolation exercises are bad for a boxer.

try doing exercises that work multiple muscles like pull-ups, ect.

sorry i couldn't be more help.

I mostly just do some bench press
    about 3 sets of 8 w/80 lbs.

But it is best to due exercises that involve more then one body part instead of isolating body parts. You can also lift sand bags/heavybags like shoulder them 10 times and do some push-ups. You should be alright as long as you don't over do it, and train well when your in the boxing gym. Im not an expert but based on expirence and what I've heard.

    Thats exactly what you do.
The body is a unit, working it as one will increase your overall strength and be a lot more benefical. For example a pullup is excellent for your back, but also your bicep, and as its a multi-joint movement it wont impede movement, so ultimately better than a curl.

hooks and body shots on my "Power Puncher's Companion" contraption also works dynamically....forearms, bi's, legs, torso... the cross and jab work all arm muscles, chest, legs, gut, etc

Here it is again in case ya missed it..

Your right about the isolation excercises being bad but i've put on a far bit of weight training with compound movements and i wudnt say its slowed me down at all. I've jumped about 20lbs in a year and if anything its an advantage because i'm a lot stronger. So its about finding a balance between speed and strengh. By the way i do single arm cable curls and decline dumbell curls for biceps....which are both isolation. Suppose it depends how serious ya are about it all.
