Despite all the jokes about Stallone being old and Stallone regreting to have made this movie due to the phyical training routine that he had to endure. I really think this movie is going to kick a**!! Has anybody seen the trailor?? Stallone looks freaking ripped!! I think this movie has a good story line much like the original and just might get some more awards and end up being the best Rocky of them all... We will have to wait and see. Pay attention to the preview and you will se that Rocky is training with Russian Kettlebells. That idea for him to train with Russian Kettlebells is genius!! If you don't know what kettlebells are you can find out about them from this web site http://www.dragondoor.com/ You will find out that Kettlebells have been around for centuries. There are hundreds of different exercises for them and they have been known to increase punching power up to 30% or more. They are really very interesting.

As a child I was a fan of the Rocky movies but I am no longer a child. Today I am ashamed that I was a fan of this crap. It was good as a child but not no more. About as cheesy as the shows like UltraMan, or the Sid and Marty Kroft shows
    Example:

Also knowing that Antonio Tarver is a fake piece of dookie does not help the movie.

I am passing on this movie.

Rocky has been gone a long time from the screens.

I reckon 75% of the fans of the originals will go see it.Its good to catch up with old movie characters. Personally I am going to be there openening night.

I agree that Tarver is not a good choice of opponent though

The next thing I want to see is Clint returning as Dity Harry and dispencing justice in a nursing home

fuck yeah i cant wait to watch this movie. me and my mates have been waiting for this for years. i hope it is as cheesy and unrealistic as the others cos thats why i like em. if they come out with some more acurate and realistic movie i wont be happy. i want a cheesy training montage and a catchy soundtrack. i love that about the other rocky's. i love getting that shiver when rocky gets beaten up for the best part of the fight and then comes back to win by a KO. they are good films for what they do.

I'm going to see it a few days after it comes out. The approach they took to training for the fight looks to be a good one.

I hope the fight choreography is more realistic like it was in Rocky 1 and not the ridiculous sledgehammer punches of films 2-4

4's wasn't that bad, 3 was ok, i think 2's was worse than pro wrestling. %5would have to be the most realistic, i mean what retired power puncher couldn't do that to tommy morrison in a street fight?

    the movie will do ok...

but it would have been great with roy jones, i will never forgive the fact that one of the most charismatic men alive was passed up for a guy who is nearly as boring as jermain taylor

also, the reason that jack blacks movie failed...

he was told on howard stern that andy dick said (as a compliment) that it was as good as tommy, and he said something about how tommy was horrible and his movie was far better

thats what you get when you fuck with tommy son

This movie will do okay, wont break any records, but will do decent business...

Its strange to see a franchise extension come after 16 years though! I think it looks like a very solid flick and will definitely be off to see it...

Bottom line is, if its a good movie, its a good movie. If it sucks, it sucks. I'll have to wait and see it to decide.

Its not fair to judge it before checking it out. I'll wait till it comes on HBO.

No denying it though, Rocky I is a bonifide classic. Rocky II I felt was good also. The rest got way over the top and a bit cheesy, but marginally entertaining all the same.

New Rocky Movie = More Antonio Tarver than you can shake a stick at.

I'd rather chew on my dirty underwear for 2 hours than tolerate that prick!

I havent seen the movie, but think of it this way.

Chances are at the end of the movie, you'll get to see Sly pound the living tar out of Tarver. Think about it, Tarver suffering a far worse fate than even you having to chew on your dirty shorts for 2 hours.
