So I finally got to the gym and started boxing tonight. Needless to say, I'm hooked. It was a class of about 12 people, and all it was was an hour of focus mitts training combos. So I was unable to get the one on one training I need (I'll be hiring a trainer soon to correct this). My footwork sucked, I was way too stiff, and I got tagged a few times cuz i wasnt keepin my hands up all the time. Normal for a first timer? Also, I got a bit of pain in my right wrist. Again, normal for a first timer? Is this something that will go away as my hands get used to hitting something? On the positive side, I hit a lot harder than I thought I would, was quicker at slippin punches than I thought I would be, and I found out I was in better shape overall than I thought I was.....
