You do realise he fought Peter Okhello who had a (18-4) record, HBO wouldn't even bother flipping to that page of the possible fights to televise.
This was more of a 'Welcome Back, Champ." after wining the title.... Nothing major, now his next fight is sure to be a biggie and a possible HBO slot.

right but my point is thats how far down the HW division has fallen and WBC belt the most highly respected/regarded belt of the supposedly elite limelight division of the entire sport down the tubes that HBO would say that and not give a damn.

I see your point, about the belt but nowadays most of the belts org. are letting champions get away with taking these kind of fights, so its ultimately there own fault for allowing this.....

Manny Pacquiao vs. Nikolay Valuev would be fun.
I would hate to be Valuev's knee caps after that.

Well at least he managed to keep the belt and stay on track for a big fight rather than blow it like that other eastern european dude (who's name escapes me) that got blasted in the last round versus Shannon Briggs in a WBO title fight.

We need Masakev - Klitschko. NOW!!! And then the winner versus Valuev.

Heard this fight was pretty one-sided.

Isn't he required to face the winner of Peter-Toney II now? Given that both of those guys would destroy Maskaev, I don't see either of them taking step-aside money.

I agree both would beat Maskaev, though I can't see Toney destroying him. About the last KO I remember Toney getting was a TKO over that hasbeen Holyfield.
