    Default how to get better at skipping rope....?


    jumping rope has been kind of difficult for me, how do i get a rythem any tips while doing it,different excercsies, anything at all would be appreciated. I know practice makes perfect but i feel im missing something.

    Skip with both hadles in the same hand to get the rythmn to start, then keep changing to both hands
    Pain lasts a only a minute, but the memory will last forever....

    Yeah, what Scrap said.

    Once your skipping with both hands remember 'its all in the wrists'. Dont swing your arms round, try and keep them stationary once the rope is moving and just keep it spinning using the wrists.

    Try and keep you feet only an inch or so off the ground, alternate between feet, one leg, move forwards and back, etc etc. Dont try and jump higher than you need to.

    Apart from that just practice really, itll all come with time, dont get frustrated with it and you'll be spinning the rope like mayweather in no time.
