Jimmy certinly would have been a superior boxer but I dont know how he would fare against the size...One good tough or two good tough fights ahgainst bigger guys is one thing but he would be outgunned every time...Not good at all...He would be a Chris Byrd type HW IMO

Decent comparision. I think Young was naturally a little bigger than Byrd, but Byrd was a little quicker. I don't think he beats Wlad or Russian freak, but I think he would destroy Maskaev. Against Briggs, likely a UD.

Young was a little bigger than Byrd, but he was pretty much the same type of fighter. And he would have the same problem Byrd had against big fighters like Wlad. He would lose. I don't see Young being champion today. He couldn't punch for shit (the Foreman knocked was do more to fatigue) and his ducking under the ropes to avoid getting hit was a cowards move. Not defense.
