ye my hands are naturally quite strong and hard, shame bout the rest, what exercises do yourecomend for strengthenin the hands and feet guys? quite an interesting subject.![]()
Is this question in strengthening the muscles in the hands and feet? If so, I think those grow along with the training. I think the best thing you can do for your hands is learn exactly where the contact meets. Having said that, when that's all done and said, you have another problem that occasionally needs to be addressed. When I fought (and I know it was partially my fault because I continually put wet hand wraps) I would break open my left index knuckle, and find it extremely difficult to heal. It would callus over and split during heavy training. I'm not suggesting going for a manicure or pedicure, but I suggest taking care of the hands and feet the best you can. I preach at the fighters to invest money into their running shoes because they will get every penny back in the long run. I can't believe how many try to run in what ever they have on their feet and ending up damaging them. Basically, I feel that maintenance and good health to the hands and feet are far more beneficial over power-building.

I play some guitar. which subsequently strengths my hands . I have a set of hand grips. use to use them a lot early in my career , but no so much now days. really just road works for me. pull ups are great for strengthen the grip and hands in general.
Don't tell anyone , but I do tip toe exercise wearing a weighted vest to strengthen my feet, calves and hamstring. lots of stretching before and after workout. its very important part of my training.
Scrap ! CC #206 I like you scrap, you delve into the deep not so obvious aspects of boxing.. a real thinker ! This I love !
Lords I played Banjo and Rock climbed to a high standard E 4 and always had strong hands, plus being a plumber pipefitter But a lot of fighters Iveknown dont do Jackshit about strengthening the hands or feet or a little bit of maiatainance. Where if they did, there woulnt be a problem. The mechcanics of the elbow is affected by the metacapules and goes down the line. Same with feet if they are 1 degree out it affects the 6,3, 6, lateral plane of the ankle knee and hip, which does the alinement of the body no good whatsoever. cc for you and otb good points.
