Default Khan out to emulate Tyson

Amir Khan is looking to emulate Mike Tyson and become world champion before his 21st birthday.

The Bolton fighter turned 20 just two weeks ago but has already won all 10 of his fights since turning professional in 2005 following his silver medal at the Athens Olympics.

Khan out-pointed Frenchman Rachid Drilzane a fortnight ago to claim the IBF Inter-Continental light-welterweight title although he controversially suffered the first knockdown of his professional career.

Khan will fight at lightweight next year and admits he is impatient.... Rest of the article here

its quite annoying how they say it was a knockdown. the french guy hit him with a shitty left hook, khan moved back and got his foot trapped in the rop and fell . it wasnt a knockdown

Khan needs to work on a few things before he gets to the top 10

this is the kind of tosh i hate...

tyson was a monster puncher and dominated his era were as Khan is a weak chinned novice.

and im not sure a WBU title will count if im honest

Khan has a closer probability of being like Tyson by going to WWF(or WWE as its called now) and becoming a member of DX then he does at winning a title before 21.

I think a Tyson comparison does him no favours.

Younger people will think Amir is the new sliced-bread - wheras older fans know what they see and what 'they are being fed'.

Amir is still too green for having the rule run over him yet - i will appraise him at the 18-fight mark !!

Ive read the article and I cant see where it says "I want to be a world champion at 20 like Mike Tyson..............becasue I fight just like him" Anyone help with that?

A few weeks ago he could beat Floyd Mayweather over four rounds. A pinch of salt is most definately needed here.
