How can it be an early excuse if the team are saying that he is over it now ?
I don't think team Hatton (should they lose) are the type who would come out with excuses like so many other fighters do if they lose, I think they would be the kind who take it on the chin and then look to what the future holds
He's not many excuses at all, he's simply stating what is happening in his camp. "No preperation for a fight is ideal ...." and "Things like this happen all the time, it's a rough sport..." don't sound much like excuses to me.

well it would be extremely negative of him to use it as an excuse before the weight in wouldn't it?
Na, im just playin anyway. Just peeved that this has happened so near to the fight and my main concern is he cant train hard enough to cut the gut!

Damage control already.
The gut as you say is already gone fella, I know your 'just playin' but if you read the other reports around, Kerry Kayes has said he is already below the weight they would like him to be down too at this moment in time ? so losing a couple of days of sparring they probably dont have weight issue's surrounding that, at a guess that is ?Originally Posted by JimBo IV
Thats not too bad then, as i say, the weight was my issue....
Never has been before, but then again, i dont think theres ever been a problem during camp for Hatton
Mind you, who knows, a couple of days sparring could of been the difference between a W and a L![]()

The injury was leaked prior to this statement - he's just giving us the update, putting minds to rest rather than creating excuses.
I am looking forward to this fight - Hatton in Vegas, with Jose Luis Castillo on the undercard, is a great night of blood & guts hopefully.
