    Default Ronald Hearns

Did anyone see him on Maxboxing's free thing?

I feel kinda bad he was fighting a guy that took a dive, obviously just there for the paycheck.

From what little I saw he looked very in control. But he's already 28 and only has 12 fights.

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

I saw the fight in person. Actually, I'm the one who interviewed him and Hearns made it known how frustrated he was with the situation. He wouldn't let his trainers take off his gloves because he was ready to fight more. And it's understandable too. You hate to put all that training in just for the guy to just lay down and take a ten count. I tried to spot his father to see what he was doing, but he either got ushered out or got moved because he wasn't where I last saw him. In the guy's feeble defense, it looked like he may have been hit with an accidental elbow along with the jab. Besides, he's 44 and hasn't beaten a guy since 2005 when he decisioned someone who's never fought anyone with a winning record.

That must be frustrating, was that Hearns first television appearance?

He's been on at least once more, I've seen him on a sky sports televised card, he obliterated his opponent, can't remember who it was, he looked very good.
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!

Yeah he was on Showbox I think like a month ago or maybe longer. I think he looks pretty decent. Still kinda green but he will get there.

I can't say that I expect too much of him yet, he's only had 12 fights.

That chump he fought went down from a grazing jab early in the fight and did not beat the count. Looked like a muthafuckin dive

I saw it in person. It was definitely a stiff jab, but not a KO jab. Hearns wanted no part of that, either. He was extremely pissed the old man wouldn't get up.

Hearns wasn't allowed to box. His father wouldn't give him the nod, so he went to college, played basketball, etc. and came back to boxing with his father's blessing once he graduated. He admits to not being a fighter of his father's caliber, but he wants to fight once a month to get up there.
