One could argue that Liddell would destroy Silvia I suppose. Not being able to get past Liddell 2 of 3 times is nothing to write a guy off for.

I see Couture winning this actually. Silvia can be taken down and Couture will have much better luck on the ground than Monson did with the funky giant.

Nonsense....styles make matchups. Chuck destroys grapples...its simple as that. I honestly think Sylvia would EASILY beat Lidell (although likely by unanimous decision). Sylvia is the kind of fighter that Chuck can't handle...someone who WON'T bang with him, and come in on him. Sylvia would dance around him and force the jab down his throat all night.

Couture will probably have a tough time against Sylvia, but its far from impossible. His takedowns and ground game are infinitely better than Monson. And let's not forget that Randy is the former HW champion...he obviously knows his way around the big guys. I see this as a decision win for Sylvia, but a late TKO via GnP by Randy wouldn't surpise me in the least.

I can't see Couture being strong enough to take him down. I also think Sylvia would beat Chuck in the stand-up. He's got the reach and the guy can actually box pretty good, IMO.
