Default 2007 - The year of Alex Arthur?

2007 could be the year of Alex Arthur as he continues his march onwards towards a world super-featherweight title shot, as promised by his manager Frank Warren.

After recently relinquishing his British, Commonwealth and European titles rather than defend against an unknown Portuguese challenger, Arthur now has his sights firmly set on his quest to capture one of the four major baubles in the division.

He maybe good enough for WBO belt (with careful management) but i reckon he would get stopped by Carl Johanneson so god knows how he would fair at world level

Im a big fan of Arthurs and I enjoy watching him but super feather is such a tough devision right now I just dont think he can make a real impact there at world level, he could maybe pick up one of the lesser belts but I dont see him dominating. I dont know how tough he would find it but I'd advise moving up to lightweight if he can. Theres decent oposition there but not quite as tough as Pacman, Barrera, Marquez etc. The lightweight division has still got some good fighters and it wouldnt be easy but id give Arthur a much better chance there.
