Thats a tough one since Bowe was quite an enigmatic figure that was often distracted and undisciplined and IMO his prime was totally wasted he put on a few memorable peformances with the Trilogy with Holyfield being the pinnacle..

Ibeabuchi never had a prime he was a damn polished, unpolished fighter with all the tangibles needed to be GREAT!!!!!!!! you can never discount a fighter that was technically sound, fast, powerful, better than average defense and an helacious workrate, not to mention he was a solid mofo.... Very hard for me to pick... So I wont, I'll say its a pick em

I'd got with Ike based on the fact that he seemed to be able to take a hell of a punch & give one also. He was a bit more assertive than Bowe & more focused...even though he was a bit of a nut job.

I can't argue with that ! , I always felt that Ike was a lot like Evander Holyfield in that he would let his hands go, stay in the pocket keeping that offense going , Ike was an excellent combination punchers had a good beard, and the Stamina to fight 12 hard rounds ! Ike was a bit bigger then Evander and arguably had the bigger punch.. , anyway nice perspective Wacko !

right ill try give my two cents both have great chins both have good workrate on inside id give edge in jabs to bowe power wise id go with ike its so hard to split them i dont see either man being koed this would be 12 round war

round 1-4 both men trading on inside pretty evenly matched so far 1-1 with 2 even rounds

round 5-9 ikes power and bit extra workrate giving bowe trouble on inside and picks up slight lead after 9 rounds

rounds 10-12 bowe knows he has to use different tactic knowing he is slighty behind works behind his jab giving ike trouble with his longer reach and height advantage wins later rounds to earn sd

    Prime for Prime

    RIDDICK BOWE!!!!!

In his prime as short as it was he was one of the GREATEST boxers EVER!!!! And very few all-time greats could beat him honestly.

Ibeabuchi threw loads of punches and had power but Riddick had power, could move REALLY well, could box really well, and he could take a punch from just about anyone.

Anyone who has see Ibeabuchi can agree that he had the power of Sam Peter, but much more control over it. He had about the boxing skills of Calvin Brock (enough for him to beat Tua and Byrd), and would stand in and fight like Holyfield. If he had a prime, he would have surely handed Bowe his arsenk on a tray.

Besides, if Bowe would have seen Ibeabuchi in his prime, he would have done what he did to Lennox Lewis--run and avoid him.

I doubt it....Ibeabuchi couldn't BOX!!!! He just threw more punches, Byrd had him mighty pissed off because he was swinging and missing until the 5th round.....outboxing David Tua is no big feat!!!

'Threw more punches' is all he would need against Bowe. His hands were simply heavier, he was in great shape, so he was busier. At times, he left his mid open, but you can't even say someone phased or hurt him in any of his fights.

I thought Tua beat Ike by several rounds .. Tua was killing Ike in middle and the later rounds..

Ike owned Byrd from the start ! Ike walked his man down and flat out destroyed Byrd,, Chris did that chicken dance Zab do !
