Default Lovemore N'dou, shafted for title by Team Hatton?

Totally agree with what Lovemore is saying and you gotta feel for the guy

    N'dou

“What kind of a champion is Hatton?

“He is a protected species and has never made a defence of a world title apart from the WBU.

“WBC holder Junior Witter is a better champ than Hatton because he will fight within the rules.”

I'm no Hatton fan, but I don't see how anyone could fault him if he decides to fight Castillo instead of N'Dou. Castillo is a bigger fight, a more important fight. Beating Castillo does more to prove that Hatton is a real champ than fighting N'Dou and keeping a belt.

Lovemore may not like it, but I don't feel bad for him if Hatton doesn't fight him. I don't fault a fighter for not fighting by the commissions' rules, because most of the commissions' rule are all messed up.

We are back to believing the IBF's word as gospel now?

Even if Hattons team did try to find a way around fighting N'dou and defending the title against Castillo is that a bad thing?

N'dou should count his blessings, he will still get his title shot, this way around they might have him fight someone he has a cat in hells chance of beating.

He could also ask himself how he managed to find himself in an elimination fight to begin with.

When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

Cool click Memphis. This very thread emphasises the fact that Hatton simply cannot win. He's critisized no matter what he does. He doesn't make defences because the governing bodies install very average fighters as the number 1 contenders. First off he gets absolutely slated for wanting to defend it, now he's getting slated for wanting to fight a better fighter instead? Strange.

N'dou is just saying and doing what you would expect someone in his position to do.

As has already been pointed out if Hatton has to chuck that shitty belt to avoid fighting N'dou and go on to better things, that's a good thing.

Not one belt holder at 140 has any credibility really other than Hatton. All the titles belonged to Kostya, he lost them outside the ring. Hatton won his titles be beating the man. I'm sick of the business side of boxing, and all the stupid organizations. It should be one belt. HBO do the right thing, give the big money to the real champs and show them all the time. Why is Hatton and Calzaghe on american TV and no one else from Britain? Because they are the top dogs in the division.

So if hatton fights Castillo he gets slated and if he fights N'dou he gets slated... guess some things never change

I think Hatton was stuipd to take a fight for the ibf belt in the first place.

He does not need thoese bunch of crooks to tell him he is the world champion.

CC...I actually think that at this point, the tougher challenge for Hatto n would be N'dou. Too many people in here only care about a name. N'dou seems to have alot left where as Castillo left me wondering his last time out. I took into account that he has plenty of rust to wear off but he looks slower and doesn't seem to have that edge in power he did at 135.

I'd personally never slate Ricky Hatton. I think he is a good fighter, and a funny young lad. The kind of guy you'd enjoy having a beer and a blether with - my kind of human being.

But the story is that if Hatton was gonna fight Castillo, then Hatton would be stripped and N'dou/Rabah would have been for the vacant championship. HOBSON told the IBF that Hatton would fulfil his mandatory (ie - don't strip him). N'dou/Rabah goes ahead, with both men understanding that they were fighting for a shot at Hatton's belt.

The fight ends, now N'dou get's neither a shot at Hatton or an IBF belt - can you understand why he'd be a little pissed??

All thanks to HOBSON'S alleged dishonesty to the IBF...

Now, I'm sure there's a lot more to come out in the wash - but if this is true then Dennis Hobson is a class A fuckwit.

Am i alone in thinking that it would be nice if Hatton went into a fight with the ring of..."And Current..."
After Castillo he should do a at least one Mandatory defence imo.

    He still good

I'm not a Hatton fan, but I give much respect for fighting Castillo.

That is most definately the right move. I will never 'slate' him for that decision.

    Ditto
I just hope he throws some 'chat' back PBF's way so as to push the Hype for the Showdown
It's their for the taking if he knuckles down and verbals Floyd, some in the coming months.

i can see where n'dou is comeing from but hatton has made the the right choice by fighting castillo. n'dou will more than likely get the vacated title and then if i was him i would try to approach witter about a unification. i'm sure witter would be keen to get his hands on another title and up his profile a bit so he can keep chasing a fight with hatton (that seems to be his goal in life at the moment). and i am sure n'dou would wan't to avenge his loss to witter and a unification would be a good money making opportunity for him.
    wot are your thoughts guys?
