Default Chris Byrd's still a heavy weight?

Box Rec shows he's fighting a tomato can of a heavy weight in April, in the Bahamas.

I'm didappointed he isn't going down to the Cruisers, or even to the Light heavies where he could be competitive against some high ranked fighters.

Great boxer, but just not a heavy one.

Yeah he should of gone down after the 2nd Wlad fight.

He's so inactive now, its hard to take him seriously at all.

I think it's unrealistic for Byrd to fight at any division other than heavyweight.

He weighed 213 against Wlad, it's asking a lot to expect a 36 year old to lose close to 25 pounds to make the cruiserweight limit. I don't think it's an option.

Chris Byrd admits he isn't a natural heavy. He said he has to eat a lot to stay up there so I think curbing his meals some he could probably get down to cruisers pretty easily. His in the division for the money alone.

Yeah, I here he struggles to make 200+ like Corralis tries to make 135.

He still has it, I'd love to see him fight guys like:
    B-Hop
    Steve Cunningham
    Eliseo Castillo
    Johnathon Banks
    RJJ

And then go for a belt.

Don't forget a guy walks around at say 215-220 trains down to 200,
a guy weighs in at 190 and the next day weighs maybe 205
He needs to lean up and get Back to speed ,style and slickness.
Too bad the $ at lt hvy and cruise are so small compared to heavy.
Us big guys have what it takes,,,,(at least that's what the girls say!)

He will go down and fight the winner of the Bell Mormeck fight possibly.

I think Byrd should replace Bell now that Bell's possibly looking at doing time for the hatchet toss.

Yeah, he was a heavy weight. He was a Heavy weight champ.

    Now, you can't kick that.

He met his match in Klitschko, 2x.

He had a good run as a HW.

Now he belongs with the cruisers.

Lets not forget about his skills that made him a champ.

For whatever reason, Lewis avoided fighting him. Byrd wanted that fight bad. Lewis probably would have won, but Chris did not back down from any of the big guys.

I wish he would have went down to cruiser after the wlad fight and won a belt then retired. I really don't see him winning another belt at heavy. I would like to see him fight James Toney though. I think that would be a pretty good fight.
