Alright here's a question for the WBC issue and Peter thing

I see these people that are trying to support this Vitali instant shot thing saying "I understand Sam Peter can get his shot... AFTER Vitali gets his"

But the WBC said he could get a shot at the WBC Championship right? it didn't say who was holding it, did it?

So then can't you also say "Yeah Vitali can get his shot at the WBC champ, AFTER Peter fights Maskaev.

It can work both ways, why not letting Peter go first and Vitali fighting the winner?

That's the thing. Absolutely everything works both ways in this case. Either guy, according to fans of the opposing fighter, only wants Maskaev for the title and then mysteriously vacate and not fight the other. The reason Id rather see Peter fight for it is because I truly believe he is more likely not to do this. I feel the WBC would enforce PEter or Vitali as the mandatory to the other, depending on who gets the title shot. To me, that's almost elementary. The difference for me, is there's nothing to stop Vitali from just retiring again after he gets the title. If might just be his swansong. Wheras with Peter, look, he's turning down 2.5 million because he wants Maskaev. That doesn't suggest to me, that he plans on doing anything but becoming a champion and defending his title. THere's no way I could see Peter vacating the belt after winning it,(despite what Klitschko fans say ). However, with Vitali, I could definetly see it. And I don't think thats a biased opinion, simple fact is Vitali doesn't need to go on fighting, he has money, political status, a phd... I think Vitali is probably twice as intelligent as Sam Peter is, but, likely because of that, I don't think he has the same interest in fighting, to be perfectly honest. Basically, I want to see Sam Peter vs Vitali as much as anyone else, that's the fight to be made right now it would seem. Now stop and think whether that is more likely to happen if Vitali gets the belt around his waist first, as opposed to if Peter does. I sure as hell don't think so.

It is all about the money....In all actuality Peter should get the fight first......The WBC never expected Vitaly to be away this long.....When he was away for such a long period of time they forgot about him....Now he is trying to envoke his champion emeritus status they are in a bind...now it comes to who will generate the most oney...also the first time they let their champion help make the decision....Oleg is going to lose either way...he will make more fighting vitaly......he will opp for the biggest payday
