Default The Sniper is back - watch out Klitschko

My favourite flawed boxing genious Corrie Sanders is back with Golden Glove Promotion.

He is to do a fit and impressive performance i MAY and one in July.

You who know, is that a good promoter for him?

I think he put up a good performance 8 rounds against Vitali. It is my conviction that if Wladimir had taken the bombs that Vitali did then he would have been down in the first. That is, Corrie can always beat Wlad (most of the time). Mind you; he was not down, Vitali did not manage to ever get him down (he wasnt down in the Rahman fight either, actually should have won if not tactiacal errors). I dont think he can beat Vitali; he hit him as much as you can hope for and nothing happened.

NOw; my conclusion is that only guys with very very strong chins will be a problem for Sanders.
Here are the ones I think he may be slight favourite over (or at least equal to):

Wlad, Tony, Maskaev, Briggs, Peter, Chagaev, Lyakovich, Ibragimov, Rahman
You have to remember that he is Big man, fast and moves well.

I would say that a weakness may be stamina and defence. But I think that he has HUGE regrets over not doing this right the first time, and so will do it right now.

Do you think Wlad would risk a return fight?

If Sanders merits a title shot Wlad will give it to him.....as confident as Wlad is now and as out of shape and old as Sanders is I forsee terrible things happening to Corrie.

And if Sanders is dumb enough to fight Vitali he's going to get retired again!

Good for Corrie I hope he does well but I hope Wlad beats his fat ass

Wladimir has learned what not to do against Sanders and would implement that knowledge in the rematch.Wladimir wins the rematch.

corrie is a great puncher, he can knock out any heavyweight out there. but right now wlady is way better deciplen and as a boxer, correi will have a hard time getting to wladys chin. as for vitaly, corrie can not beat vitaly thats that.

You are right, Corrie can never beat Vitali, but he can probably find Wlad's button every time at some point before 8th round. Would be so exciting to watch Wlad protect his left flank. Anyway, looking forward to the fight after the Koval fight. Corrie-Briggs would be fun. Corrie is always fun.

I think Wlad would probably win a rematch as well, but I can't see how anyone could be confident in making that pick. The Sanders fight was not like the Purrity or Brewster fights, where Wlad had things his way and ran out of steam, or where he clearly lacked the stamina and patience he has shown since.. Corrie handed him his ass from the opening seconds.. Wlad was never even in the fight, he was basically as dominated as a fighter can be. So while I think he has improved some issues, Sanders could just have his number.. We know Wlad can't take his punches, not even close.. If Sanders looks good again then I think a rematch would be a very interesting fight.
