mayweather has been downgraded just like jones and pbf next fight remids me of jones fight with ruiz .............. first ruiz was a dangerous openet and to big and after jones beat him "o he sucked anyway" and now i could see ppl saying o de lahoya was old and past his prime but now he is the most dangerous guy floyd fought

Well it COULD end up that way but THAT line of thinking will only exist if Oscar doesn't come out and fight like Oscar De la Hoya.

I dunno, it will depend alot too do with how Oscar comes out and fights like Lyle said. People will say Oscar is quite out of his prime now, hasn't been really active since the Hopkins loss so it is understandable if or when people point them out, however Oscar going by his last match is by no means past it.

Oscar - Mayweather who cares its right up there with Hopkins - Wright in the who cares stakes .

Mayweather will just stay on his bike steal the fight with the jab and run like he always does ..... I'd love to see Oscar cut the ring down and get the left hook on but sadly i just think it'll be a track meet .

Mayweather sucks ass so comppletely if i had to watch a day of his interviews or fights i'd end up eating my own head .

Still can't believe Mayweather came to the ring in a Gladiator costume and then complained about his sore hands .

    What a complete tit .

I don't think there were many who thought Ruiz was dangerous.

Sure DLH has been inactive since Hopkins but Oscar is still going to be one of Floyds toughest opponents.

If Floyd beats DLH (which he should do easily, although I hope DLH pulls it out) it will be the biggest victory of his career. People can say what they want about Oscar being past it, but to the average fans Floyd would have beaten boxings biggest star!

If he runs Oscar should just stand in the middle of the ring and bait Floyd into a battle much like Duran would do.

Honestly if you tell Floyd he has no balls and he won't fight and he'll run like a sissy a bunch of things happen. #1 The judges notice YOU as the guy who's going to take the fight to the other guy #2 Floyd will have to prove his manhood and come in and throw SOME punches.

Talk shit to Floyd because I doubt he can take it....spit on his family, call him a little bitch, say he has no balls....Floyd can dish out that stuff but Oscar is PROVEN and another thing, Las Vegas draws a lot of the hispanic fight fans and it's on Cinco De Mayo....the crowd will affect the judges!!!

Hey Ruiz was a heavyweight and he had heavyweight power...remember he knocked down Evander Holyfield! There was A threat but it wasn't a BIG threat

i'm by no way a Mayweather fan but i take my hat off to him for taking this fight he is well out of his comfort zone and a big underdog in my eyes....

he has already shown he cant mix it with a natrual welter so god knows how he is gonna handle DLH as he is going to get hit harder than he has ever been hit in this fight and see him losing via KO.

DLH aint at his best but wont be chasing him around the ring like a windmill in a storm ala Baldomir.

BUT for me if Floyd wins this fight and i really dont think he will but if he does you wont hear one more negitave comment from me about him

KO for DLH thats the bet i'll be having easy money

It's funny how everyone sees one fighter as way better than the other, either Oscar is far too strong or Floyd is far too fast, I actually think they are almost completely evenly matched, and neither has a wide advantage in any aspect. Oscar's handspeed is underrated, and although Floyd is faster, it's not by all that much. Likewise, people act as though Floyd is like Glass Joe from Mike Tyson's punchout and that the first hard shot he takes, it's lights out. This too is ridiculous. Oscar has the edge in power, but it's not by much. Floyd ain't Tommy Hearns, but his power and toughness is also underrated. I think this fight will be very close, and might even be extremely difficult to score.

Roy took the fight to Ruiz though....he looked good he landed power shots that Ruiz FELT.

Floyd has not hurt anyone in a while and his flurries are less and less meaningful and he doesn't throw them like he used to either

Floyd hasn't tasted too much power skyler...and ODH has enough power to KO him

That only seems to connect on fighters with limited defensive skills.

Saddo about that drink you never got back to me .

Mayweather is just a punk he should have taken up Ice skating or become a ballerina he would have been good at that .

I hope he wins rounds 1-11 and then gets a Meldrick Taylor type ending sending his whole family into Meltdown.

De La hoya is too polite to do a Duran on him i wish he would though , Oscar aint got shit to prove whereas Mayweather has never ever convinced me that he is upto his own big words.

De la Hoya has a good right hand too!

Oscar is the biggest power threat Floyd has ever fought, Oscar is also the most complete fighter Floyd has ever fought

With Roach in his corner Oscar will try to use his size to beat Floyd, tie him up, not let Floyd get off on the inside or run away too fast....lean on him try to take his legs away.
