I'm one of the biggest PBF fans, but everything after the fifth round was boring. I know PBF said his hand was hurting but Baldy was soooooooooooooooo open for a true beating, I was getting pissed. If Floyd would have thrown a couple combos or done something, he would have probably stopped Baldy, that's how bad Baldy looked in the 6th or 7th round. I know it's a lot to ask if a fighter's hand is hurting but if PBF is comparing himself to SRL, Ali, and others, then he better be great. Floyd did not really look like he had other worldy speed either, to be honest, it looked like Floyd gassed out in the middle of the fight. I'm so pissed because there were so many shots that Floyd could have thrown it's ridiculous. After the fifth, Floyd ran, cruised, and potshotted his way to a victory. The most exciting part of the whole card was him arguing with Larry Merchant. If he wants to keep making his big paydays then he better man up and show some heart and put these guys away.

Floyd Mayweather is a skilled boxer and he used his movement to hit and not get hit which is the name of the game. Its boxing and not brawling and it wouldnt have been smart of Floyd to trade shots with someone who outweight him by double digits. The most important thing in any fight is to come away with the win which is what he did.

The scores were to big. Sure, floyd won big, but baldomir did some good bodywork in some rounds were floyd mostly ran around. and he won the twelft. good win for floyd, but not any super about it. i belive he talks to much, and he was like a crybaby when he talked to merchant.

I'm not saying Floyd should have brawled. Floyd could have done this guy Gatti style if he wanted. Maybe his hand really was hurting.

It was predictable, PBF was gonna pretty much shut him out but because of Baldo's size and strength he wasn't gonna open up like the Gatti fight, kinda like the second Castillo fight but less competitive.

Not a bad performance at all, but the "casual fans" won't like it.

Yeah it was a decent showing but he just left nothing to chance at all and didn't have any concern with impressing anyone it would seem... I wouldn't exactly call Winky Wright a casual fan and he left the building, that tells me something.

Mayweather should never be allowed in a 24 foot ring. I like Floyd Mayweather back in the day when he would exchange and do more then be safety first , he has turned into a boring chicken shit fighter. the crowd went to sleep and started walking out, and they paid $500 $1000 to see that shit .!

Boxing is a hit and not get hit sport no doubt, but the key word is hit, and Mayweather did very little of that. not a fan anymore, after this performance. Floyd was talking all kinds of tough guy shit to hype the fight, saying "he was going to war with Baldomir". shit!!! he ran his ass off , They should refund the money for non performance and false advertising !

I mentioned in a previous thread that i fear that when Floyd gets tagged by Baldomir, then he would jump on his bike and pedal around the ring to safety. Well, Baldomir didnt really land a telling shot and Floyd still jumped on the bike and showed me nothing thats impressed me.

It was like watching Floyd of early days, when he stunk out the venues with people leaving early. And guess what, people walked out , i heard the boo'ing from rd10 onwards. Not a good advert for trying to sell himself for future PPV events.

Can we see Floyd staying at welter to take on some of the bigger puchers in the division, or once more jumping out and moving to 154?
For the record i was dissappointed by Baldomir. He looked like he was throwing his punchers through treacle, and when he did manage to get in close his accuracy was shocking !

WHAT A FRICKING WASTE OF TIME!! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FIGHTING TOE TO TOE?!That was running and slapping. That was not the great boxing I was expecting to see. Where was the jab,the great combos,the bodywork etc etc. It was pot shot,run,pot shot,run,repeat. And like I said from the beginning,Baldo is HIGHLY OVER RATED. Where was the pressure?No combos,hardly any defence,not even arms punches,they were waving punches,etc etc.

Manny Steward and Merchant nailed it,that was a chance for PBF to show how awesome he was. Baldo was a sitting duck but PBF was so afraid or whatever,that rather than seize the day,rather than give the fans their money's worth.

And I don't believe he hurt his hand until I see proof. I want to see it as I did not hear it in the corner unless someone can tell me when it was because it was not as if PBF was laying the wood on Baldo in the first 6 rounds,he wasn't apart from one round where he landed 3 or 4 consecutive right hands and ducked under what Baldo had.


I have yet to see the Williams fight but if I'm a big strong WW like Williams,Margarito Cintron etc I would want PBF NOW because I did not see anything particualrly threatening.

The thing here was, Floyd won rounds for gunnin and runnin, but Baldy did most of the contact.....Just a one sided panel for PBF....It wasnt that huge of a victory to me, I gave it to PBF, but only had him winning like 7 rounds solid...
