I think he has toned it down to a realistic level. A few months ago he could beat Floyd Mayweather

i feel really sorry for him to be honest.

he is a kid, never been in a title fight and is a long way off becoming a 'true' world champion - but when he fights 20-30,000 come to see him and cheer him on, he is treated like an unsidputed world champion already - ther eis no doubt that will go to such a young kids head and is such a shame. he needs to be shipped off to fight in the states IMO for low money and make his name there in front of small curious crowds.

Nothing wrong with being cocky - just so long as youre good enough to back up your words with some actions. ....... Lets wait and see if he is.

Funny thing about Amir Kahn is almost nobody from the US even involved in boxing have really even heard of him. Hes not even considered a prospect yet around here so id say he has a lot to prove if he wants to become a known threat and hopefully he doesnt take the Hamed route

Khan's all right, He's on prime time talks shows and headlines of boxing pages, he'd sound a bit stupid if he was a shrinking violet, saying he doesn't need to be rushed into british title shots. It's not like he couldn't beat a lot of the current domestic fighters either.

Perhaps he is just trying to get attention off these British fighters provoke them into fighting him

Good im glad Khan is cocky if a 17 year old former silver medalist with a string of kos on the way up cant be cocky then who can be !!!

Khan has substance and untold quality if i have one minute criticism its he's forgotten his boxing but the ability is still there .

If he listened to the likes of you he'd be hiding behind the sofa talking about what might have been .

Amir Khan is hot S*** !!!

chill out bruv. amir has only had a hand full of fights mate and his opposition is getting stepped up steadily with every fight. its just that he is generally so much better than the guys he has faught so far that he makes them look like complete bums and that he should perhaps be fighting better opposition. but at this stage in his career his oposition is getting stepped up at the right pace. i just hope that FW doesnt take to long in grooming khan for a title fight like he did with hatton.
you cant really expect amir to have faught anyone much better than the opposition he has so far because otherwise he would simply be thrown int he deep end too early and it is too irsky for someone who will no doubtably in my opinion be a world champ in the next 2 years.
