kessler and blew him apart like he did lacy, would u all say whos kessler fought though to make him a great or would u respect him

same as taylor, would u say great win or well he's fighting a middleweight

personally he could retire tomo, hes got nothin left to prove to me.

but it seems to some like nothings good enough, always someone he hasnt fought, but hes got 2 more fights left in him IMO and after that boxings lost a great in calzaghe

If he fights Kessler and humilates him (which i think he will) Joe will be exactly where he is today. At least Taylor has some good wins and a decent draw on his record. Kessler just has mundine, beyer and andrade......which are all respectable but not quite enough.

Froch is the hardest fight out there for Joe now, style wise and i believe Froch can get under Joe's s

If he beats Kessler - people say Kessler was a rookie and hadn't fought anybody, was overhyped

If he beats Taylor people say he was fighting a much smaller guy and Taylor was overrated anyway

If he beats Hopkins People say Hopkins was old and shot

If he beats Froch, same argument as Kessler

If he beats Superman, Spiderman, The bionic Man, Maruis Pujenowski, Nicolai Valuev and Goliath people say he ducked Hulk Hogan and will still not give him credit FACT

Not seen much of Kessler but I think Joe would have to much for him.

Joe has not made things easy for himself but I think he will be better respected after he retiers a bit like Larry Holmes.
Holmes was always inn Ali shadow and I think Joe has been in Benn,Eubank and Collins shadow all his carrer.
Lost count of the number of times people who dont have much of a clue about boxing said that he would not stand a chance agaist thoes guys.

If he has 2 fights left they have to be big 1s to prove his critics wrong once and for all.

As a Calzaghe hater and a huge backer of Lacy, it discust me that people downgrade the Lacy victory so much. It was a legit super fight. Look back at 2005 and the fights people wanted and Lacy - Calzaghe was probably tops along with Mayweather - Hatton and Taylor - Wright.

Now in hindsight people talk about that fight like it meant nothing. I think the fight would have a lot more credibility if it was a close fight to the end which is really wrong imo. Honestly, I think Joe is about as good of fighter as there is when he is on his game. The problem is that he hasn't had but 1 or 2 real big fights. And he seems content with that. And that's why I don't like Calzaghe, the same way I disliked Jones Jr.

Joe would probably beat Kessler. In fact I'd bet on it. Kess is the future but if Joe is on his game and he's up for a fight he is a tougher win then there is in boxing. And if he were to destroy Kess, it would mean a bit for about half a minute until a year later when some other undefeated's promoter is calling Calzaghe out and pointing out how meaningless the Kessler fight was. Just like Palle is doing now with Lacy.

Don't get me wrong I'm a huge Carl Froch fan but this comment seems a bit absurd. You dismiss Kessler as just having beat Mundine, Beyer and Andrade even though he's a double world champion and then say Calzaghe needs to fight Carl Froch, whose biggest win to date is probably Brian Magee?

Kessler is a fringe p4p star, one of the only current 'super' champions and would be an extrememely tough fight for Joe. Mundine is no joke, he's a world class, slick counter puncher who would give anybody at 168 lbs problems. Beyer was a step up from Peter Manfredo and Kessler destroyed him. Andrade although raw and lacking in experience was a tough as nails bastad whose all pressure style was expected to give Kessler real problems.

Eubank aside there is no bigger name on Calzaghe's record than Kessler's imo. And Kessler is only 28, Calzaghe is 35

lol thats his offical title as bestowed on him by the WBA. They see him as too good to be just a regular world champ and so promoted him to 'Super' Champion status. Anthony Mundine is now the WBA world champ, Kessler is a whole other level.

If he beats Calzaghe I hear the WBA will promote him to 'Master of the Universe' World Champ.

If he then followed it up by beating Taylor or Hopkins no doubt some religions would start worshipping him as a god.

After I posted I started to think thats what you might mean but I thought no true boxing fan would take the wba and there 2 CHAMPs in the same division idea seriously.Just paper titles.

The wba are like spoilt children,if you pay them atention you just make them worse.
