She will be going back after her first fight
To knock out anyone in her path
I am SO pissed
I'll probably chill eventually,but still
People who whisper loud enough for the people they are talking about to hear are never the brightest sparks - either that or they're hearing impaired!
Very odd situation. Pity she can't get good sparring elsewhere - I'm assuming since she's going back.

Actually, the trainer wasn't even whispering. So he clearly did not care if I heard him or not. And I'm positive that he is not the sharpest tool in the shed. I've noticed that they worked one of their other fighters in some fairly heavy sparring only a couple of days before he had a fight, so I cannot completely rule out incompetency on the part of the trainers.
I'm still puzzled as to why that chuckle head did not step in and order the sparring to tone down so I can't say it was not a set up either.
Maybe he's the type that thinks boxing's mostly about being 'tough' and therefore doesn't mind seeing fighters get roughed up every time they spar because he thinks it toughens em up. He wouldn't be the only 'trainer' I've ever met like that.

At the end of the day him stepping in after the fact, amounts to setting the parking brake after youve hit the treeOriginally Posted by Sharla
Or to put it another way,if the guy thought a fighter a week and a half removed from fighting two consecutive days ought to get in to an all out fight with a heavyweight,he's an idiot
And if he really did want to see if his guy could take her out,he's an a$$hole
Idiot or a$$hole, not a ringing endorsment one way or another
Yes I see your point. That kind of sparring is hard to learn anything from as the smaller person aswell. At least anything other than retreating footwork with the jabs and counter punches to the point of being overly submissive.
Too much power coming from the bigger person the deal with constructively unless you are extremely good. I'd love to have skills good enough to compensate for being at that kind of power disadvantage competitively.
Perhaps now they know how POed you are they won't risk it again.

Maybe now that she's actually been hurt by a punch, she'll concentrate on getting that damned guard back up after she throws her power punches
Of course considering she cleaned the mess up,and then went to work on jabs, maybe not
