Default How Would Chris Byrd fared as a Cruiserweight???

I know he is not the most popular guy out there and his style is not exactly fan friendly but the man has tremendous skill....A bit boring but he is a true boxer through and through....He just happens to be a bit undersized....And though he could get down...or could have gotten...to the cruiser weight class we all know he came to the heavies for the money......

But how does everyone think he would have fared as a cruiser weight with guys more suited to his size??....Imo he would have been king of the division for as long as he wanted.....

Skilled enough to out box just about anyone in the division and would have a bit more pop to his punches.....Plus Byrd has only beeen KO'd by big bangers another problem he would have avoided...I know some guys like Bell can bang or Jirov when he was there but they don't bang like Tua or Wlad....

    Just curious on the opp's

He would have dominated at cruiser. So would Toney. But both were too ambitious. Byrd would have had a much better career, maybe even HOF worthy. But he still had success in the HW division.

Yea... If they had each campaigned at Cruiser Toney vs Byrd could have been a great fight as well... Id still watch it if they fought today at HW.. Both guys are tremendously skilled.
