God Of War I & II on PS2

Who's played these??

That are just down right the BEST games I have played on any console in my whole life...
Gran Turismo's are amazing also but this game is in a different league.. I love my Fight Nights,,,,

But God of War 1 and 2 are the absolute freakin $hit!!!!


No other game can put you in a place like these do. They graphics and playability are absolutely second to none and put most PS3 games to shame... The camera work for all the levels is absolutely seamless and supurb, the music is amazing, and as far as a game goes, BOTH 1 & 2 get a 9/10...
They really get a 10/10 only it drops to a 9/10 because one day you willll actually finish the game, and you are going to wish that you could play it forever..
IFFFFF the makers made it so it went on forever and you never had to come back to reality?? now that would be 10/10...

I havent... I really enjoyed the medal of honor series and any World War 2 games, also liked Shadow of Rome of course Madden Football.... But Guitar Hero 1 and 2 is just amazing and surreal

But I will try God Of War per your recomendation

Waiting for number 2 via post but number 1 is ABSOLUTELY INSANE! The things you can do,the interaction,the pace of the game,it's awesome! And some of the attacks are insane as are the enemies. And dam it feels coooool to be such a badass. Kratos is P4P for videogame characters imo

I've finished the first one on Normal and made it to Medusa on God. I can't get past Medusa on God because 2 solid shots and you are dead.

I'm not ever good at the God Challange either. Have any of you made it through that?

I have not played II yet, but am looking forward to doing so. The next game I want to by is Rouge Galaxy. I love the RPG's.

I've heard very good things about both games. Never tried the first one cus I just thought it was lame and pathetic that you could "have sex" in the game and that was a selling point. But apparently there's is a lot more to the game than that, such as kicking a lot of ass, so I'll have to try it. One of my friends from work says he'll let me borrow it, so I will have to take him up on the offer.

FYI. Rygar isn't so great.

Anyone remember the NES game Rygar? Well, shortly before God Of War they remade Rygarr for the PS2. The backgrounds are supurb but the game is very, very short. It can be conqured in about 6-7 hours.

Anyway I warn you do not purchase this game. Rent it for a cheap God Of War fix, but DO NOT BUY!

I finished on Normal as well. I bought the first one as I heard about this game very late and managed to buy it once it had gone platinum for reallllly cheap. I'm going to try it on God mode now as i'm waiting for God of War 2 to get a bit cheaper before I buy it as well...
It's one of those games that is actually a load of fun to play the second time. Especially after a stressful day at work, you just come home and let those blades loose with combo after combo slicing and dicing through enemies.. ahhhh, the bloody goodness of it =)))

Although, I mentioned 2 in my original post as I hired number 2 on the weekend. I only had it for one night to test it out and let me say it's just a freakin awesome as the first.
You start off in the first level with your blades powered up to level 5 and some of the combo's are awesome! I found one spot on the first level where you can kind of build up your red orbs,,, so I spent about an hour just doing that, only to discover at the end of the first level you loose all your power ups that you start with, plus all the orbs you've built up..
BUT, I got though probably about 6 or 7 levels on it (doesn't actually have seperated levels as such.. it kind of just keeps following on into different area's)..
They absolutely got the second game perfect!!! It's really more of the same, but everything is just that little bit more touched up (if that's possible)...
Just the scope of the landscapes and the control over you have over your character and everything...

If you never play these games, well, your life probably won't be any worse, but once you've got into these games,,,,, you're expectation of what you can get out of a game will rise about 10 times...

I hope that if they are working on a God of War 3 on playstation 3 they DON'T rush this one out.. I'm even willing to wait another 3 or 4 years if that's what it takes to get every spec of power out of the PS3 like they have out of the late PS2.... What a game it will be!!!

I 100% agree,, specially the P4P badasses video game character... I get paid on Wednesday and I can't get my mind of buying number 2 since I had a 1 night teaser on the weekend....

They also have a level in the second one where you get in a spa with 2 ladies and pleasure them like the first one.... Cool stuff for a kids video game

Anyway, would love to hear what you think of the 2nd one as i'm going to put of buying it for a while and good reviews will just up the excitement!

Never got them but seeing what you guys are posting i might reconsider and get both.
