Default What If... Briggs had never won the WBO Strap.

From the sound of Wacko's RBR I think the Sultan of Swat would still be WBO champ tonight regardless of who won the Lyakhovich Vs. Briggs fight.

    Agree? Disagree?

    Probably would be..

But if everything were done right then sultan would never have gotten a shot..

Austin and sultan drew for a title eliminator and instead of rematching they both got separate title shots..

Briggs may as well have just layed down for the ten cos he gave that fight away..

    and austin got sparked

....so does this mean Ray Austin gets a shot vs Sultan now?

I like Sultan, he's a different style of heavyweight.....Sultan should really think about fighting Eddie Chambers I think it would be a fun fight to watch

Sultan says that he wants to fight in his home country next and he wants evander holyfield or calvin brock

I think either would be entertaining fights, but i would prefer the holyfield one because i think it would be amazing to see him champion again!

you think so?! Im not so sure, Evander still has ability. And he's not ur typical Heavy, he can box he doesn't have to go to war. I think Sultan kindov needs it to be a bit of a slugfest to bv effective.

If the choices are Brock or Holyfield I'd rather see Evander fight Sultan next. If he is going to have a shot at winning a title it has to come sooner rather than latter.

I still like Lyle idea of Ibragimov Vs. Chambers but I am sure people will say that Chambers has not earned his chance at glory. Still, Sultan and Austin didn't earn theirs nor Brock if you ask me. Unless you count beating Sultan's stepcousin in-law (or whatever relation he is--if any) Timor.

I totally agree with you #21. I have to say, after seeing Holyfield do the impossible against Tyson, I just feel you can never count him out. I know it was 10 years ago, but Holyfield has this self belief about him that makes him special. I think he deserves a shot, after all...it's only the WBO, it's not like anyone they rank is better than him.
