nice, this brings hope to me that eventually elite XC, who will be working with many other organizations, may eventually demolish the UFC for the misdeeds done in the purchase of pride

It'll be awhile, EXC doesn't have very much talent right now. The only reason I hope they don't get too big is I really don't want the big names to never fight each other.

UFC is making the fights alot of people wanted to see happen, so as far as I'm concerned they are doing okay. PRIDE has been kind of in hibernation since the buyout but there is one near Tokyo soon, hopefully it will be a really good card and put some people's mind at ease.

While I'm supportive of UFC, I can your point though Sal. PRIDE fans are getting screwed.

Screwed? The best fighters all in one orginization making the best fights...yeah screwed.....Give me a break Sal..all of the UFC vs Pride crap is over and was always childish...quit the haterism...Whats best for MMA and its fans is to have a singular strong org where the best fighters in the world compete. Pride was a great org, but it was obviously very corrupt and is done as a major player. Lets move on

Fans of MMA in general are benefiting of course, and quite a bit; but fans of the PRIDE fighting system lose. Its different with Japanese crowds and the ring instead of a cage, with different round times and grand prix's. I can see why they'd be unhappy by watching the prestige of their favorite system go to another org, which is why I would never criticize that. Not to mention all the fans in Japan get to watch a big premier sport migrate to the states, while their own front weakens. (again that rocks for us but damn)

I am quite happy seeing a unified front though. Fights that would never happen before are and it will only become greater. I think its a sacrifice that needs to be made to keep MMA pure. If only they'd have an event here in St. Louis lol.
