    Default Rey Bautista...

Ive been feeling so sorry for the guy, i always thought as soon as the match up with De Leon was mentioned it was a bad move for him. De Leon, a man hitting his prime with a lot of power was not the best move and I really feel that Rey surely did the wrong this taking the fight.

So now I feel this is were we will see the real boom boom? I think the kids got a lot of future left in him at 21 and i really do think he can push on and get a lot of good wins in and really get some experience at the higher level and push the top men and win a world title.

I think his downfall was taking the fight far too early. I really do feel he is capable of picking up the pieces though. Who do you think his next fight should be against? I think fighting old world title holders would be a good move for him.

....taking it slow and fighting contenders before he steps in with a champion. He'll be fine.

a humiliting performance against such a strong man can be hard for the lad though? He had so much pressure on him, i think this could be a mark of a good champion for sure.

I think he'll come back older, wise, and less scared. Pacman got his ass KO'd as a young fighter and look what he has become. I'm sure it's hard for the guy, but if he has the heart of champ, he'll overcome it. Don't write him off.

yer for sure, i hope he can go down that route cos hes a good kid and got the unlucky man with De Leon who is going to be the man to beat at his weight.

I just hope he can get over it quickly, i wouldnt mind to hear his after thoughts if anyone can post them ? ( speakers are broke!!)

I havent seen any word from Rey's mouth. He should bounce back no problem, hes young so it probably just wounded his pride.

I noticed when watching the replay of the fight, Rey didnt look warmed up at all, even in the clip where they show him in the locker room. He looked nervous and was dry as a bone when they showed the clip in the 6 th..Penalosa then ko's Gonzales in the 7th . He didnt get warm in time, because he came into the ring dry too.

guys I think he'll be fine the lost might of been better for him. I can see him in a few years, primed and knocking out everyone he encounters maybe even de leon in a future rematch which will give boomboom redemption for himself.

Yeah. RB fyi, Pac got KTFO twice by mediocre fighters. You got KTFO once by a prime world champion. So don't get depress and sh1t, coz a lot people still counting on you to be the next Manny Pacquiao.

Sometimes, expectations are causing unnecessary anxiety to boxers. Boom boom was clearly anxious to win as all his team mates had won already. the guy was still to young to handle pressures. The whole country (Philippines) was expecting so much from him. And when he was embarrasingly knocked down during the first round, Rey may have thought on the humiliation he will face when he goes back to the Philippines.

The guy though very much humble has also his pride.
