    Default cutting weight

What is teh recommended time to take to cut 20 lbs? I've recovered from some injuries and thinking of fighting in the near future, but would really like to fight at 185 not 205. I'm currently walking around at 208-210...A little bit better diet will get me firmly between 200-205....Last fight, which was some time ago, I cut from 215 to 205 in 24 hours...then got 4 litres of IV from our medic...I still felt weak come fight time though..any suggestions?

As a wrestler, I think I can offer you some advice. Drink lots of water!! So much to the point where you think its ridiculous and too much. That will fill you up. Have 5 small meals a day. Wear those plastic or vinyl sweat suits when you work out. And workout at least 2-3 times a day. But after your workouts, as long as you have a few weeks, you can still have a good meal and not feel weak. Hope this helps. My last year of competing in wrestling, my final tournament I was 159 coming in to training the Tuesday before our Friday weigh in. 11 pounds in 3 days. Pretty dangerous, and I'm a pretty lean guy to begin with. Talk about dehydration
