How on Earth is Evander going to make another title-fight? It will be a very stupid fight Evander fighting nothing and being stopped easily....

Have you seen the heavyweight division recently, there aren't enough decent fighters in there to prevent Holyfield from getting another shot.

No offence taken....it is not representative of all European, nor indeed a majority of us.

If you're selling tickets for a boxing show and one of your top-of-the-bill guys pulls out then exactly what are you supposed to do? Holyfield has the name and is available. Anybody with genuine title aspirations isn't going to step in at short notice. It's a great result for whoever's promoting the fight.

Now I do better understand - Holyfield is like the elephant man show......that makes sence...... - he is so extremely bad that a fight for the title is a joke....just wait and watch!

Everyone who has fought a live top 20 the last five years. Valuev, Thompson, Virchis, Skelton, McCall, Dimitrenko and Lyakhovich.

Cash Cow Holy has nothing but his name....very very very very poor match-up :-(

He's the only 4 time world champ in heavyweight history and far and away by a million bazillion trillion miles the most well known heavyweight out there. What the fuck have the others done in their careers to warrant a title shot.

Valuev? Didn't he just have a 50 fight career beating nobody above the level of the last four bums that Holyfield beat and lost his title the first time he fought someone who could actually box?

McCall? I like McCall he's going about his business and is prepared to travel anywhere to work his way back in contention but until his win over Simil Sam hadn't beaten anyone better than Fres Oquendo. He may well get his shot eventually but his own title reign was an embarrassment whereas Holyfield is a living legend and that puts him ahead in the queue.

Skelton, hahahahahahahahaha he's done more to earn a title shot than Hoylfield? Um yeah ok.

Dimitrenko? Has he even beaten a ranked opponent yet? Same for Vichis, when they fight and beat a guy in the top 10 then maybe they will get a shot, but you don't challenge for a world title ehen you've never even broken into the top 20 ever.

Thomspon, This is the only guy whose case could be put above Holyfield seeing as he the mandatory for Ibragimov's title and has looked great in recent outings. However as he too is an American it kind of messes up your argument.

He's had some career for you to show such little respect like this. He could still wipe his arse with any boxer Denmark* has ever produced.

    BS.

I wish they would set up a Kessler vs. Holyfield fight, right now.

Forget about the weight, Holyfield is garbage.................... Kessler at 168 would trash Evander Holyfield at heavyweight.

Kessler by brutal ko inside of 4 rounds. (if it happened)

Kessler is a well-managed fighter who will be beaten like a gong by Joe Calzaghe in November. On November 3rd, he'll be the new Jeff Lacy, had never really beaten anybody, only knocked over shot fighters/tomato cans, all hype etc.

Holyfield could still wipe his arse with him.
