    Default Ever had this dream where....

    Where you either have to run away from something or get away fast, but you just can't move.. Like your legs weigh 1000 pounds and you just physically can't move them. Or you're whole body just won't move..

    OR
    You have to fight someone or punch something, and you feel like you're punches are really weak. Like they feel like they are connecting like a feather.. The closest I can liken it to is a Calzaghe pitter patter flurry.. But like, I'd prefer to be dreaming that I punch, and the other guys head explodes like the death star.. But I have ones where I punch as hard as I can and my arm feels slugish like it has rubber attached to it pulling it back, and it connects really soft and makes you feel piss weak...

    I've experienced both.

    When I was a kid I used to have a recurring nightmare about having to run from this evil He-Man character Merman. I would run as fast as I could, but I would either not be able to run, only be able to run very slowly, or start off quickly and then slow down rapidly. It scared the shit out of me.

    As you can see, he's quite the frightening character:

    Yeah when I was young ;
    I Couldnt run away; or when your fingers or hands had no strength or just break up when trying to defend your self. Doh!

    Must be a young mans fear driven sub consiouss type of thing .

    Now I usually view situations in my dreams like that from outside of the situation.

    I used to have one repeater where i would be laying on something like a massive stone bookend in the shade out of the sun relaxed but right in the middle of a desert or flat land and I feeling untouchable and so at peace.
    All of a sudden theres masses of people comming at me from every direction and when I try to raise myself to do something physical to prepare myself against them; Im stuck down like glue. Then I relax and think oh well nothing I can do about this ,lets be at peace and go with what happens, Im instantly rising up in the air above the crowd,then I think Fuk Im flying,I rule, Im going over here or there etc; bang Im back stuck on the slab.It goes on and on until I have faith that all is going to work out and i fly up and out of there with no effort.

    Good lesson.

    I have recurring dreams......at least 2 times a week in which my teeth crumble and turn to dust .It is very vivid,I look into a mirror and there I am with a mouth full of jagged shards. Once Bruce Lee said it's translation was that I was suffering from an undiagnosed Illness ??

    I have some rather interesting dreams in which I am aware that I am sleeping and make decisions in a dream based on that.No repercussions to my actions....Have actually rationalized "Hey your just dreaming,it's alright,do it"That s!!! is rather freaky.

    Dreams might just tell us things that we are unwilling/unable to face while Conscious??For a bit,I dreampt in Neon colors,I have yet to figure that shit out.

    Teeth represent indecisivness;
    An inability to break down ideas for analiysis into firm decisions.

    Well, at least make a firm decision that it isnt some undiagnosed illness.

    I recon teeth are a bit like spark plugs too.

    I've had both dreams..

    normally i'm in a fight or something like that and my punches are completely ineffective..

    you should read up on how to have lucid dreams.. i've sort of succeeded the other night.. it takes a lot of meditation and clearing your head and stuff.. i actually popped a couple of pain killers to relax, and concentrated on riding a motorcycle and i actually rode a motorcycle in my dream, but wasn't in complete control.. but maybe eventually it will get to that point..

    Here's one for you. For starters, I remember being born. I remember seeing the lights in the room and going down a hallway, the noises.

    So now, I often dream, and am still reenacting that...but am no longer a baby, and cannot move. I am being carted away, going somewhere dangerous or being abducted...and can't so much as blink or talk or do fook all about it.

    I used to always have dreams where my teeth were falling out.

    The most dangerous ones are the dreams where you are taking a piss.

    It's a very common dream experienced by everybody.

    There's actually a scientific explanation. You feel paralysed in your dream because you ARE paralysed in that moment in real life!

    During REM sleep (rapid eye movement, deep sleep) when brain activity is highest the brain automatically shuts your body down to stop you from moving.

    This is essential to prevent you from carrying out in reality what you are dreaming about.

    So it stops your body from being able to move so you can't really go and jump out of a window or knife somebody whilst asleep.

    If you dream during this time you'll experience the paralysis in your dream.

    I was boring Sharla about this last week,making her listen to me at great length another typically interesting Bilbo lecture
