Default Yep! It's just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds Peter vs McCline

Once again the weekend is upon us & once again the liquor is ready to flow as we settle in on the couch for fight night & Wacko's Drunken Round by Round!

Finally big Sam has an opponent...or better let's just say that he's finally got a fight...or better yet...let's just say that wer'e finally going to get to see him in the ring again after a looooooooong long time.
Samuel "the Nigerian Nightmare" Peter (29 fights with 28 wins, 1 loss, & 22 ko's) vs Jameel "Big Time" McCline (48 fights, 38 wins, 7 losses, 3 draws, & 23 ko's) at the Madison Square Garden in New York City for the WBC Heavyweight title.

IWO, Peter's one of the most deserving of the heavyweights out there right now due to the fact that fought two back to back bouts with heavyweight James Toney for the rights to challenge the WBC Heavyweight champion Oleg Maskaev.

Sam Peter won the first bout over Toney shockingly by a split decision; but Toney & company raised more stink than elephant shit & the WBC ordered a rematch. Peter's camp was enraged as were many boxing fans on both sides of each fighter...but come January 6, 2007, a different Samuel Peter entered the ring.

This time Peter defeated Toney handily & quite skillfully by unanimous decision. Shocking pundits & fans & also stamping the win of the first fight in everyone's mind!

If memory serves correct...Peter beat Toney by some 8 points on all cards.

Finally it was on to the title shot sgainst Maskaev. Vitali Klitschko threw his name into the pot & stirred up a heap of trouble & legal battles kept the "Nigerian Nightmare" out of the ring for the better part of the year. Peter refused the more than generous 2 million step aside money & was set to fight Maskaev on October 6 2007.

Maskaev then pulled out of the fight with an injury and Peter became the WBC heavyweight champion...& here we are.

The list of opponents for Samuel Peter since Maskaev's injury has been astounding. Golota, Ruiz, McBride, & now McCline all were vying to face him...either they see something beatable in the young nigerian or theyr'e all high on crack!

Either way...I can't wait to see him in the ring again. Everyone that knows Wacko knows that I've been lauding him as the next big thing & everyone tried to write him off after losing to Wlad...I just hope that the layoff hasn't hurt him.

All that being said…I encourage you once again to join me…live & direct from the couch as we break out the chips & salsa, toss aside that remote, crack open the caps, & pour up your beverage of choice as we settle in for some couch coverage…it’s time for yet another installment of Wacko’s Drunken Round by Round.

As always…I say to thee…cheers…& koneecheewah bitches.

Peter should win by stoppage. McCline is just a body really and Peter needs to fight somebody sometime.

Should be a straightforward fight for him.

I hope this McCline drug scandal doesn't take hold, and cancel the fight.

    Peter early KO.

I say that Peter sparks him in 3 or less unless of course McCline can use his size advantage or comes outta the gate like a bull with an 18" long dildo (not to be confused with highly regarded saddite Bilbo ) up his arse & mows him down like he did Sample, Rhode, & Ward.

That my friends would be damned unfortunate...just as unfortunate as it would be improbable.

Hey Wacko, nice to see you back on the rbr this weekend, not quite so enamoured with the idea of myself being used as some kind of fistic weapon in a heavyweight title fight though :P

I actually think this is going to be a pretty tough fight for Peter. McCline is a pretty durable guy. If you discount the loss at the very beginning of his career and the knee injury against Valuev only Wlad has ever actually stopped him and that lasted 10 rounds.

It's been a while since Peter has been the unstoppable force that he was in his early career.

It wouldn't suprise me if this went the distance to be honest. I think Sam will win, he's one of the most consistent heavyies out there and always comes to fight but McCline is definitely the kind of guy who is only one shock win away from being a world champ himself. He's pretty much on a par these days with guys like Briggs and Rahman imo and he won't be a walkover for Peter by any means.

I'm going with a Sam Peter late stoppage, 10 rounds or more, but I think McCline will cause him a few problems especially early.

He's got a significant height and reach advantage in this fight. Not a blowout by any means.

I think this fight goes on longer than people think and could even go the distance.

McCline went 10 rounds with Wlad, and has gone the distance a bunch of times. His TKO against Valuev was from a knee injury. Peter hasn't fought in 9 months and could easily be rusty.

LOL at forgetting. Have a CC Wack-man. By the way I just voted for Peter and Pac to win. Since I haven't picked a winner since McBride over Tyson, well lets hope I don't jinx these guys. LOL

    Alright me bwoys...we're gettin there!

Just short of two & half to three more hours & we'll be into the bouts.

I'll be flipping channels covering the main matches as best as one can. Should be interesting. I'm already prepping the chips, salsa, & tequillia.

Cheers ladies & let's all enjoy!
