Default Cotto targets best condition ever!

World welterweight champion Miguel Cotto, looking fit and trim, came in at 157 pounds today in San Juan for his 30-day pre-fight weigh-in. Cotto was far under the limit for this date and said he is anxious to take on Sugar Shane Mosley at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Nov. 10. "I am very satisfied with all of my training and work we have done so far," Cotto said. "There is no doubt I will be in my best-ever condition on November 10."

Awesome news, cant wait for this one ! Definitely going to be a classic fight.

I take Cotto via a very close decision, time for the young guns to take over.

Cotto will have to be in the greatest shape of his career to beat Mosley, IWO.

I'd love to see Cotto pull out all the stops...but against Mosley...I just aint even 80% convinced that he can do it...& I'm a Cotto fan.

157 is kind of low at this point. Is there a danger of over training?

You have been doubting Cotto since the year 1901. You will stop doubting in late 2008 when he has unified.

Remember I said last year, that by late 2008, Cotto would own all of the belts. This means Cotto/Williams is in the loom. ??

Ok, who has all of the belts?

Who the fudge has the WBC welterweight title?
Shane? And this belt is not up against Cotto? WTF.

    Williams has the WBO
    and Cintron has the IBF
    Cotto has the WBA.

Can some one tell me who has the WBC?

    Thank you.

Will Cotto have to fight both Williams and Cintron? Or will Williams target Cintron first?
    Holla.

Call me stupid but I think Cotto will stop Moseley early, just a feeling that he will catch the sugar with a left hook and knock him down and then be all over him. Mayweather will be wetting his pants.

You never know, more crazier things have happened. I like both too but will be rooting for Cotto just.

Ok, I did not want to bring up his name. I wonder where he will fit into all of this. I guess we will have to wait until after his fight with Hatton. I forgot Ricky is moving up for this fight. This should be a very interesting scenario indeed. Thanks.

I like em both too but I think the people that are writing off Cotto arent being realistic . He has a very big chance here. Shane is a bgger more solid version of Judah . It may take Cotto longer to impose himself but as he builds momentum Shane may feel the pace at this age . At teh same time Cotto needs ro protect his whiskers early cuz the speed of Shanes punching and explosive combos will have Cotto breakdancing in the first half of the fight

mosley vs cotto is going to be a good fight. it's so hard to choose who would win and so many questions like can cotto deal with mosleys power or can mosley deal with cottos pressure and body shots. i like both fighters evenly. man i can't decide who wins

I'll agree on the fact that I think it'll be a good fight...but Cotto likes to trade too much for me to pick him against Mosley & Mosley's got HOF capabilities tucked into his resume.

Can Cotto deal with Mosley's power? Good question. Add "can he take the volume?" & you've got a real quandry on your hands.

I don't like both evenly...I love Cotto...I just think that this might be too much, too big, & far too soon.

Also, love the Hopkins Tarver shot with Taylor tossed in there. You should slip Pavlik into your sig & title it "Once you fight Pavlik once you get hammered the fuck out!"

One thing about it...if Cotto can get off...he'll more than likely bust Mosley the fuck up.

I'd soil myself if he knocked Mosley out...but I'd be better pleased if he just outboxed him...that would be a statement that would make Cotto the "danger man" & then the "go to man" of the division.

Floyd would have to make a line straight towards him.

    Agreed

Mosley is still pretty darn good, too good IWO.

If Cotto beats Mosley I will be very surprised.
