    Default JOES GLOVES

Can anyone tell me about the gloves that joe was wearing last night?

HBO kept speaking of them as grant gloves, and yes grant are well known for protecting a fighters hands

but at the same time they had lonsdale printed on them, and both lonsdale and grant have the separate coloured thumb and general style..

So were they grant gloves specially made for lonsdale and joe c or what'?

    Peace

Joe has a sponsership deal with Lonsdale, i guess they would be Grant gloves with Lonsdale stickers on, similar to Hatton who is sponsered by Lonsdale but prefers to wear Everlast with Lonsdale stickers on.

You know I was thinking about this the other time.
Shouldn't it be illegal for Hatton or that matter any fighter to place stickers on their gloves?
This is assuming ofcourse that the stickers are just placed on their by someone and can be pealed off.
I'm saying this because if a sticker so happens to just slightly peal off and a boxer get's hit/brazed with the edge of the sticker it can cause some type of damage. The same way loose tape can.
Really interested in knowing the rule on this.

They are not actual stickers like like we would buy in the store or are given out to apply on lockers etc....They are more or less micro thin pieces of material things ...damn I wish I knoew what you call them...I feel like an idiot at the moment for this......

EG--Ever watch pro wrestling? You know the stuff the guys use as face paint that you see coming off during the match?....That guy Sting used to use them so did the Ultimate Warrior...( did I just admit I know who they are ) they go right on the face....Too thin to cause any type of irritation....

Sorry I can't remember what they are called hope you know what I am speaking about though.....

Anyway.....They go right on the glove and one would never know they are even on it if they rubbed thier hand across....

LOL good because that was the only example I could think of...Pretty durable stuff and pretty well made....I remeber I was suprised the first time I saw it peel because i actually thought it was face paint....

I remember thinking during some of the matches..."Wow these guys put a lot of time in the face make up"
